You know the name; now, it’s time to play the game…in the spirit of romance! 1. Post with your character. 2. [He offers a faint half-smile. Mignon is pretty tall, for a human. Or so Alivian's nose tells him.]

So I suppose you did win. I don't have much on hand, but if you want a prize, I'm sure we can decide on something. I have, uh...

[He shifts a little, reaching into a pocket. With some rustling paper, out pops a (for him and his large hands,) palm-sized apple-bun bread treat.]

An apple bun? We could split it, if you want. Or, uh...

[Fuck, how does socialization work? Alivian's work-entrenched social-outcast ass doesn't really know. His fluffy silver tail gives some nervous, low wagging for it.]

I could buy you something. I guess.

[It's not often that Mignon meets people taller than him, or even his same height. In fact he can certainly count the number of times such an encounter has happened on a single hand. And as the man stated, it's kind of cool that this person happens to have some similar features to him as well- at least, from what he can tell. ]

Huh? [He blinks, shocked at the very concept of being rewarded for a victory.] A prize?

Er, but it's not like I did anything to deserve--

[Just as he was about to politely refuse, Mignon's eyes brighten and he perks up immediately; staring at the offer with bright-eyed curiosity. He steps forward.] Oh, so that's an "apple bun"... I've never had one before.

Is it really okay for me to have some..?

[His smile is wide, and excitement earnest.] Thanks a lot, sir!

Yeah- let's definitely split it then, if that's alright with you. Looks tasty!

I found a place to watch his series and oh my god Mignon is precious. I'm halfway through.

[Relieved that the bread is enough, even if it is his favorite, Alivian smiles warmly in turn. Carefully, he tears the hand-etched treat in half, and offers Mignon the larger half of the newly-created pair. Apple pieces have clearly been baked into the bread, along with delicate, thin swirls of cinnamon. Even the etched top has been painted with a very thin layer of the stuff, as well as an apple-based glaze over-top.]

Here. And it's "Alivian" or "Ali", not "sir". I get that enough at work.

[His tail gives a slightly harsh wag - more in line with what a cat's might do than a dog. But otherwise, his face barely reacts to the minor tone change he has.]

Ah- yessir! I mean, uh, "Ali"! Hehe...

[He chuckles to himself, pleased to be given such permission to address him informally. Mignon accepts his half of the bun with a nod of thanks, then gives it a sniff. The sweet scent makes his stomach growl with desire, and he brightens, immediately taking a large bite.] Mmh~...!

'Ish googhb! [Speech muffled by a full mouth, Mignon takes no time at all before swallowing down the rest of his apple bun. Only traces of sweet sugar and cinnamon are left upon his fingertips, and Mignon shamelessly begins licking that up, too.] That hit the spot~

[A pause, as he looks the taller man over, then admits-] Y'know, to be honest, it was a little weird at first when a guy came to me wearing a mask, but... Now I know that you're cool.

There's no way that someone who gives you food this good can be shady, after all!

[Typical dog logic. He beams.] My name's Mignon.

Guess I don't got a cute nickname like you do, though....

[Alivian just enjoys his other half at a leisurely pace, if only to prove that the food he offered isn't something harmful. He tilts his head in Mignon's direction when the other man speaks up, one ear twitching beneath the hood on his head. Watching him lick up the traces on his fingers is also pretty much normal for himself. There's no shame in not wasting a morsel.

[Still, even indirectly being called "weird" sends a bit of a painful feeling through his heart. He should be used to it, even if the only thing he hasn't done anymore is cry from it. Still, it's old hat to be calm even in the light of such commentary.

[Still, he absently tugs the hood on his head a little more firmly on.]

Sorry about the mask, Mignon. It's a medical device. I know it looks weird.

[Tilting his head to the side.] Medical...?

[Huh. Maybe his eyes are super sensitive, or something. But Mignon doesn't have time to dwell on it for long before he bristles, compelled to clarify-] No, that's not it!

It's just.... y'know, where I come from, if a guy approaches you in a mask, you'd naturally think you were getting robbed or something, right? Stuff like that happens all the time...

But your mask isn't weird! Actually, I think it makes you look cool. Like a superhero or something!

[Alivian makes a point to show that he's looking at him.]

I'm as far from a robber as they come, I promise. Part of my job involves patrols and peacekeeping work. I'm just part of the Control Bureau in my homeland, Rowena. Alongside that, we just help people find work they want to do, and give them stable housing and food supply. We just also happen to break up fights and other unsavory situations as needed.

...I'm no superhero. I'm basically just an office worker who gets some exercise sometimes.

[He tilts his head a bit.]

[ There are more questions involved here than he expected. And speaking of questions, in response to the one put to him, he pulls a small piece of rectangular paper with several symbols written on it from his jacket, holding it up triumphantly. ]

Oh, and I can use magic to block those things! [ Ta-da~ ]

It's not behind closed doors, and not fenced-in. So there's a chance of being spotted.

[He blinks a bit at the symbol-adorned paper. After a moment, he just huffs.]

Magic-infused paper, huh?

[Quietly, he mouths what he reads on it. The real magic of Cramea is that they can understand to other-worlders, and other-worlders can understand them. Even though the words he "sees" do not remotely have the same pronunciation as how Tsuzuki would speak them.

[That includes the written language - at least on a Cramean's end.]

I guess that's fair enough. I still think it's pretty different than, say, a well-trafficked area. But you're right, it counts!

Less happy is the reaction to his really cool, amazingly useful magic. He thought it was exciting, anyway. He even looks at the paper as if it's the ofuda's fault for being boring. ]
