Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... [ It's easy to see why a goddess once chose Gale, barring even his talent for manipulating the Weave. He's charismatic and sincere about it, with an earnestness that Len would find suspicious if not for the complete lack of subterfuge wafting off of him like stink from a knoll. Even his early attempts at keeping the reasons for his peculiar dietary restrictions a secret made it plain that he's a terrifically bad liar. A charming trait in its own right, though it gives Len the distinct impression that he would be a gods-awful gambler.

With his motivations shared so plainly now - if not to the whole party, then to Len - anyone could be easily forgiven for entertaining doubt about handing over magical items without context. Perhaps the less forgivable, somewhat more judgmental part should be reserved for returning Gale's initial flirtation.

Len isn't stupid. An incorrigible flirt himself, he knows better than to lean in like that, especially with a man so wholly on the mend from a relationship with a literal deity, where his romantic overtures were rewarded with a ticking bomb implanted in his chest. He's considered, perhaps incorrectly, that it's simply the wizard's desire to ensure self-preservation: an intention to lock down more security than just the dubious goodness of Len's heart. Then again, Len hasn't exactly been forthcoming with his own reasons for wanting to reach Baldur's Gate, a much less avid sharer than many in their ragtag band.

Maybe it doesn't matter. Len is not immune to handsome academics.

There's a river several minutes outside of camp, the warm fading of early evening settling on the sand, the area long-since cleared of any potential goblin presence. He's situated on a stone at the water's edge, peeling off the most sticky articles of clothing and only a little annoyed at how he managed to come away from their battles today looking spectacularly filthy. Boots and shirt shucked, bare feet submerged, he freezes as a twig snaps behind him, turning quickly and reaching for a knife only to realize the company is friendly.

It's Gale, equally filthy. The tension loosens from Len's shoulders and his wariness breaks into a crooked, relieved sort of smile. ]

Nearly forgot you slipped and fell into that swamp water, too.

[ The sento's location wasn't exactly public knowledge, then again, the only people who seemed to use it were those who either attended or had attended Jujutsu Tokyo High, past and present. Hidden away far, far into the mountains, much like the school itself, it was a wonder no one even used it anymore. Honestly, Gojo expected to see nothing more than a stray troop of Macaque's lurking in the hot waters, much like they do in the springs further down the mountain- So he'd brought a bag of fruit just in case.

As he entered the building, Gojo kicked off his zori and set them aside, tipping his head aside as he spotted another pair already neatly set upon the shoe rack. Huh, seems like the snow monkeys have started to wear things on their feet, or he wasn't alone? Wearing a traditional Fundoshi of dark blue and grey, with a black silk blindfold instead of the usual modern attire he donned, Gojo started to unfasten the ties that kept his top together as he ventured further into the private bathhouse.

The tatami mats felt cold under his bare feet, and yet the air was warm as if someone had already started the fires and run the waters. The room smelt grassy and sharp and the closer Gojo came to the baths themselves, the more he noticed the scent of sandalwood and orange blossom. As he entered the steam-filled room, Gojo stopped in his tracks. He most definitely wasn't alone.

Spotting the back of someone already lounging in the tub he had wished to use, Gojo set his bag of fruit down and walked over. The light sound of his feet padding across the damp mats and the way the fabric of his robes brushed across his pants as he walked should have been loud enough for someone like Geto to hear. All that silky black hair, that pale skin, he was unmistakable. Even from behind like this. ]
