Yeah, they're assholes, generally.

Generally, they're a lot like humans in that regard. Some are, some aren't.

Must be different aliens. The ones I'm familiar with are, for the most part, bent on wiping out all of humanity across the universe.

Yes, I've met those. I've also met ones who are happy to help humanity save itself.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure those are an extreme minority, at least here, if they exist at all.

Where are you?

Right now?

Barracks on (insert planet here that definitely isn't earth). It's one of the outer planets in the alliance that hasn't been glassed, so...

It's sounds like you're far, far away. I can't speak to aliens out there.

So where are you, then? Because it sounds like you've had very different experiences?

Earth. It's a popular spot for aliens.

I mean, they glassed part of Earth here during the war, but thankfully we managed to stop them from actually wiping out the whole planet.

Sounds like you've got a much nicer situation though.

It sounds less chaotic than yours. But we aren't able to leave Earth yet, so we're still taking baby steps.

There's a lot to see out here, but there's always a price to pay too.

There always is. Right now, I only focus on Earth itself. I can only do so much.

I mean, that's how it usually is.

So what do you do?

I help superheroes protect Earth and occasionally, by extension, the universe.

I used to be a pilot but I ended up doing administrative work for a while too.

It's hardly 'administrative work.'

I did admin work for a while in the group I was assigned to.

Hated every minute of it. Fielding requistions and calls from some of the training areas we set up for the actual soldiers.

I do mostly intel, which is what I'm trained in. I'm in the field when it's needed, though.

People who only care about money will do whatever it takes to get more. They won't care a bit if they hurt people or do something illegal as long as they can cover it up. I should know, my father was the same.
