( ooc So my info's not up because I haven't fixed my old broken codes yet but the gist of it is this is my Lone Wanderer who's also my Courier Six it's a long story and he is Not Okay. He's independent endgame, ostensibly unpredictable beyond the fact that he's a living nightmare who's on no one's side, but he consistently helped the Legion on the downlow right up until the point of no return. I don't think there's a single vanilla FNV companion he recruited that he wasn't mostly lying to, and most of them didn't survive to see the credits roll.

Which is all to say if you want to play around with Boone being doomed by the narrative™ I'd dig the opportunity to flesh those lies out in one direction or another. Thoughts? )

The sun is high in the sky by the time either of them stir, the mess of sheets tangled between both their legs and Sara’s hair tossed haphazardly over Dick’s face. Empty bottles of champagne litter the floor alongside the remains of their formal wear - his half-undone bow tie, her stilettos, a jacket over her black silk gown.

Sara winces as the sun reaches her eyelids, nose wrinkling before she turns into the warmth of his chest, burrowing into him to fight the afternoon light.

“Hmph,” is all she manages, face pressing into his broad chest.

( it was with the best of intentions, really, that zoro pulled himself out of an overwarm, drooling pile of sanji's limbs to use the bathroom, when a very dangerous thought struck him. so rarely does sanji get the option of sleeping in, while zoro takes naps the way luffy takes snacks, and it's oftentimes because of the hungry crew that makes up the straw hats that sanji finds himself overworked and constantly at the stove. well! it's not like cooking is hard. it's also not like zoro's ever really tried, before. sanji's woken him up with soft sweet things a million mornings previous, usually with a grumpy expression and a complaint that's actually fond. zoro could try it — why not? maybe he'll become the new cook.

except, cooking is actually not easy. baking is even worse. he had the novel expectation that pancakes were simple because of how often sanji prepares them — but the galley is filled with smoke and the body of sanji's favorite frying pan is charred with zoro's hubris as much as far too runny pancake batter. he has a pile of two prepared that are the winners — burnt to a black crisp on one side and entirely untouched by heat on the other because someone got too distracted to flip. twice.

in any case he's picking at the burned mess at the bottom of the frying pan with a spatula over the side of the ship, trying to think of ways to hide the frying pan disaster from sanji, and/or a way to blame it on luffy, who is harder to yell at. good morning!! )

He hadn't planned on sleeping with her the night they met. He was getting too old for one-night stands, or he at least felt like he was. He really should have just got her number, text about her a date the following day, and acted like a gentleman...

Roy blames the alcohol. He blames every one of the men he coaches who dragged him out to a club and encouraged him to act like he was in his twenties again. Most of all, he blames himself, even if the decision to have sex last night was mutual and they were both consenting adults.

He shouldn't have slept with Sara so soon. She might think he only wanted her for sex when he was actually enjoying a lot more about her company. He took her back to his place last night, so they're in his bed, and he's woken up kicking himself. ]
