I wouldn't say it's one particular story, but a consistent string of experiences, one which conspire to make what you describe feel rather plain. Much more of parenthood than you may guess is comprised of cleaning up some foul mess.

I must say that I did not expect that you would be interested in hearing such things. About my child, that is.
