Dancing well takes serious skill and talent, but just about anyone can shake their hips or tap their feet to a beat. No matter your competency in cutting the rug, there's some pleasure to be found in letting loose and moving your body to the music. Not to mention... sometimes it's fun to get all dressed up! (And if not, then perhaps in seeing a partner all dressed up?)

[ Music often filled the halls of the Ministry, and of course, more likely than not, it was rock - the melodious tenor of Papa Emeritus Zero's song reverberating through the marble mausoleum. However, a healthy appreciation for all genres was part of the education, and so it was no surprise that Sister Imperator could hear the Ghouls blasting something else through the speakers. Today, it seemed to be a sultry Argentine tango - perfect for the California heat.

She walked into the chapel, unsurprised to find a throng of Ghouls playing their instruments, bobbing up and down and dancing as they were wont to. They were happy, pleased to simply be. They flickered in and out of their forms, eldritch and humanoid. All familiar sights. How nice it must be to be unburdened with the fate of the human race.

But she found one Ghoul that she somehow remembered. The one who'd gotten her takeout. He had a Spanish guitar and was strumming it to the passionate melody, just "vibing" as it were. He was in his element.

Sister Imperator stood at the doorway, watching them, until one of them came to an abrupt halt to stare at her. The rest followed suit, and they all just awkwardly stood there. ]

[ Out from the woodwork this ghoul further crawled. It had been years, and on this delightfully scorching day someone let him pick up a guitar. Curiosity from the newer Ghouls? Who knew, but he knew, he knew, it would never be the same. Likely never to be on stage again. That was fine, that was— it was, actually, when he settled the fine wood upon his lap, fine. He could play. Indulgent, passionate joy. How he'd missed it. He was happy to let the Ghouls dance. Let them dance. Join in, if they'd like.

And so they did, and so the music filled the sinister halls. It was not new, these happenings. Not for the new Ghouls, nor those of old— whichever remained. Some a little more coordinated than others. That rhythm filled him with all sorts of sensations bittersweet. He could find pleasure here, though, in the way the aisles came alive with the undead and devilish. Hell, there might even be a sister or two. How devious.

It all came to, of course, an abrupt stop. Silence for a moment. The utmost care was taken when passing his instrument to another Ghoul still and stiff in their watching of her. It's fine, he'll dare. Taking a step or two down from where he'd perched.

In perfect and practiced Italian with all the grandeur of times of Olde, minus any obnoxiousness one might feel from someone trying too hard. This, my loves, is just who he is. ] Ah, Sorella. How just your gaze strikes stillness into us lowly things. Won't you grace us with your unholy presence?

neuvillette doesn't know how to "dance" in any way that matters. his exposure is all theoretical-- books, observing others, what have you-- but that doesn't mean he's opposed to learning. he's just never been invited, that's all.

Would you perhaps be interested in something with these two? Possibly a combination of alone and ballroom? Maybe backstory leading up to an important function in Fontaine, so these two decide to learn to dance? I honestly can't imagine Wriothesley knowing any more than Neuvillette when it comes to dancing.

[ immediately i'm imagining neuvillette kind of priming / helping wriothesley figure out behaviour for some kind of fanciful event or other that he'll attend as the new duke of meropide? he did fight to get wriothesley that power and position, he has to endorse him to the rest of fontaine's ~important folk!! i like the idea of neuvillette like "all eyes will be on you, you ought to know how to dance" and then getting owned because he has to be the one to teach him (whilst also learning, himself). LMAO.

and! i'm a happy neuviwrio shipper, so i'd be more than eager for it to take a shippy angle as well, haha. god knows neuvillette's fucking oblivious to any feelings on his own end, being mr. I Don't Feel Things, but y'know!

[ With the tour over and members of the Ministry going about whatever it was they went about these days, the chapel came alive with all sorts of hedonistic celebrations, some more devilish than others. All types of music echoed from the walls within as it was wont to do but he was very much in the mood for dancing and he could see a little someone catching a bit of rhythm not too far away. ]

Buonasera, Ghoulette. [ He approaches, a tip of his head and offering of his hand ] Would you care to join me?

[She was the smallest of the newer Ghouls in the band and with her post tour duties done she was free to do as she wished.

She still had a lot of energy left, so she began to dance by herself in one of the quieter halls of the ministry so she didn't bother anyone else. She looked up as someone greeted her.]
