Not that Barbara knew what it did to Kara - no. To her, it was just some of the rock that first brought them together... Felix has been with Joan for a few months now, and the subject of parties has come up frequently. Joan knows that Felix's previous owner, a man she has never met but despises for how he treated the slave, would take Felix to parties in order to whore him out, and Felix has come to expect that treatment, and is even convinced that he likes it. Joan is not so sure that he actually does, that he hasn't just been told it so many times that he's come to believe it. But regardless of its origin, there's been a clear want from him to be taken to a party. So Joan did some research and found a BDSM club with regular events. She attended a couple events without Felix, got a feel for what they were like, what was expected. Then she arranged to have the floor at this event.

Neither Batgirl really knew what to make of the other - they weren't quite the same person but almost. And she knew one way to discover who someone was fast. If you didn't think they were going to kill you you let yourself get captured by them. It would have been questionable which of them would have won the catfight if Barbara hadn't restricted herself to the levels of someone trained by Dragoncat rather than as Batgirl - and let herself be put in a sleeper hold.

Unfortunately for her, she'd not taken into account that her double was as good an escape artist as she was which meant she knew every trick to escape, and how to counter it. Which is how Barbara had ended up with her hands bound to her body in reverse prayer position, and her legs frogtied - ankle to thigh and then ropes behind her so she couldn't close them. A very neat job of bondage, especially with her double having removed her jeans, shoes, and socks (although left the rest of her clothes). No way to get out of this one.

Still, she'd been awake and limp for about half a minute. Nothing doing. So she opened her eyes. "What? Where am I?" She had a horrible suspicion her opposite number played damsel in distress the same way - and knew that she hoped someone would take advantage of her helplessness.
