The room you wake in is unfamiliar. The decor is red and gaudy, the pillows and other features of the room ♥heart-shaped♥. The bed is, thankfully, comfortable.
And there's someone in the bed with you. Are they male, female, or otherwise? A total stranger, or an old lover? Older than you, or younger than you? Well, no matter who they are, even if you would never dream of it otherwise, you're suddenly filled with an urge to cuddle the shit out of them. Right here, right now. And so are they, so that should work out just fine.

Let's be real. Sometimes, you just want to play fluff. Good old fashioned "cuddle up in front of a fire and snuggle like cute little bunnies" fluff. But some characters are ~anti-social~ or have ~space issues~ and it's impossible to get them to just friggin' loosen up, and building that kind of CR can take for-fucking-ever. So really, this meme is for all the shameless fluffers out there. Here's lookin' at you, kid.

"I'd say follow the scent, but I'm sure they've covered it. They probably left this here on purpose." Derek sighed and shoved his hands into his pockets, turning to head back toward the door leading to the stairs.

"We're back to square one, I guess, unless we can find somebody we know is helping them out so we can follow them."

"This is bullshit." What was it about this damn pack that had him constantly in this kind of scenario with Derek? If he was going to cuddle with anyone, he wanted to do it when he was awake and for it to be someone with boobs. And strawberry blonde hair with green eyes

"Yeah, tell me about it." There was the whole point that Stiles had invited himself along, but it would've been a dumb one to argue seeing how he invited himself along for everything. So Derek just led the way back into then out of the building again to head to his car.

Stiles followed along sullenly, wondering when they were ever going to catch a break with this pack. They kept somehow staying two steps ahead of them and it was really starting to piss Stiles off. "Is there some kind of code packs follow when staying in a town?"

[haled]

"Not tipping off the humans that there are werewolves around is usually the only code any of us follow," Derek replied as he pulled his keys out of his pocket. "Even if there was some kind of code, I doubt the Alphas would follow it. It'd make them too easy to find."

[teenyoda]

Of course. They just couldn't catch a break with these guys. He went to the passenger side, waiting for it to be unlocked as he silently fumed. "We need to find a way to get some kind of foothold in this."

Derek unlocked the car and climbed in on his side, shaking his head a little as he started it up. Then he glanced over at Stiles. "We might have better look finding somebody they're working with instead."

[teenyoda]

"What, like the spooky pentagram drawer? How easy do you think that's going to be?" He got in and closed the door, looking back over to Derek.

[haled]

"Easier than finding them right now," Derek admitted, pulling out and getting them on the road. "Whoever they've got doing their magic for them is human. Because, as far as I know, werewolves can't go magic themselves."

[teenyoda]

"Have you tried? Or gotten any of the others to try?" Because rumors were stupid things, Derek.

[haled]

"The closest thing that I've seen come to it was Peter bringing himself back and Lydia did most of that for him," he replied, shaking his head. "If they could use magic on top of being Alphas, do you think we'd all still be here?"

[teenyoda]

Stiles shrugged in his seat. "Maybe. Maybe there's rules about it, like they can only do it on a full moon or a waxing moon or something. You're not exactly an encyclopedia of everything werewolf related."

[haled]

"I'll ask Peter about it. You should talk to Deaton and see if he knows. Or if he knows anybody else around here that does magic." Derek still didn't believe the Alphas were doing their own magic, whether they could or not.

[teenyoda]

"Doesn't it bother you that he just seems to know everything so conveniently when stuff happens? Why not share a little of that before shit hits the fan?"

[haled]

"Yeah, it does." He didn't sound very angry about it, though, despite how much trouble hearing about things in advance would've saved them. "Just talk to him."

[teenyoda]

"Only if talking involves stabbing him repeatedly." Someone still wasn't over Peter's actions with him and Lydia.

[haled]

Derek raised an eyebrow, glancing over as he stopped at a light. "I meant Deaton. But I guess that knowing everything when stuff happens could be both of them."

[teenyoda]

"Then how about you talk to Peter and I'll talk to Deaton." Stiles didn't mind Deaton, other than the whole cryptic mysterious thing that most people who knew things seemed to always do.

[haled]

"That was what I said in the first place. That I'd talk to Peter and you should talk to Deaton." He shook his head slightly, eyes shifting back to the road once the light changed and he could drive again. "I'm not gonna shove Peter off on anybody else."

[teenyoda]

"You can shove him off a cliff." This was mostly muttered to himself, his fingers playing over the window.

[haled]

"I've considered he," Derek replied, his eyes remaining on the road as he headed to and turned on Stiles' street.

[teenyoda]

"Maybe you should take him for a walk near one of these cliffs. Just to help you consider it a bit more." He saw his house coming up and felt that wave of exhaustion wash over him. They hadn't slept long and Stiles was still needing to curl up and go to sleep. Preferably without waking up with a werewolf pillow.

[haled]

"I'll give that a try one day." He nodded then pulled over in front of Stiles' house. "Just tell me if you get anything from Deaton. You'll hear from me if Peter has any answers."

[teenyoda]

"Right." Not that he was expecting much, but hey, they might actually get lucky for once.

"Night."

There was always hoping. Derek called a goodnight reply just before the door closed and he pulled off to head back to his apartment.
