Word Association is a common word game involving an exchange of words that are associated together. The game is based on the noun phrase word association, meaning "stimulation of an associative pattern by a word" or "the connection and production of other words in response to a given word, done spontaneously as a game, creative technique, or in a psychiatric evaluation." ~ our lord and saviour wikipedia GUIDELINES

Yes.
[It was.]

I lost my dad when I was a kid, dude. I know that sucks.

I am sorry for your loss. It is truly a cut deeper than any claw, fang or blade can make.
[And he would know...he doesn't have any family left....but he's not going to go trying to make his loss seem greater. The Zaterran paused and a soft smile crossed his face.]
It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Syzoth.
[He extended his hand.]

It was pretty hard when it happened, for sure. I try not to think about it, you know?
[ He nodded, he'd taken some hits that didn't hurt as bad as that one had. Worse was losing his best friend. But he'd been old enough to really understand loss then.
Still, Gary smiled in return and took his hand, shaking it.]
Nice to meet you, Syzoth, I'm Gary. I gotta ask, are you cosplaying or a hero?

Yes. I know this feeling. It is the need to move forward, passed pain and grief. I like to think that is what our loved ones wanted for us…to remember them…but not to get lost in our own pain.
[He nodded when he took Gary’s hand, then looked himself over.]
Likewise, Gary.
No, nothing like that. I am from Outworld and this is a fairly common fashion, there…albeit with some personal alterations to make it a little more unique and to suit my tastes.
[The spines on the small shoulder pauldrons…the scale pattern that dotted the green fabric of his outfit…there was absolutely a theme there to pay homage to his Zaterran heritage even when he was in this form.]

[ He so rarely got to talk about these things, just forcing it down and going on with life. It was kind of nice.]
Oh! That's cool. Another universe? [ The concept he mostly knew from comics, but he's heard enough to be fully shocked. ] Same here, with mine, this isn't normal earth fashion, just my work uniform, but a lot of it is customized to my tastes.
[ Like the ripped sleeves and body armor.]

[Syzoth nodded.]
I've seen EarthRealmers in many kinds of clothing. I quite enjoy seeing the variety you all have developed for various situations...and how you change it to suit yourselves.
