Word Association is a common word game involving an exchange of words that are associated together. The game is based on the noun phrase word association, meaning "stimulation of an associative pattern by a word" or "the connection and production of other words in response to a given word, done spontaneously as a game, creative technique, or in a psychiatric evaluation." ~ our lord and saviour wikipedia GUIDELINES

[Smiling begets smiling, Bertholdt.]
Fun.

Games.

[And it’s all fun and games until…!
[Until. … Uh. How’s it go, again?]
[Screw it, actual game:] Basketball.
no subject
Unfamiliar...
[Isn't that two words...?]
no subject
[You know, the ball with the baskets? Kel makes a dribbling hand motion, which surely helps very much.]
Sport.
no subject
[Pause.]
That wasn't my word.
[Hm.]
Baseball.
[Why does he know what baseball is, but not basketball? Because only one plays a weirdly major part in the series!]
no subject
[Sheepish grin.] Ohh yeah, guess I lost the game for a sec. Heh…
[Wait, no, he’s doing it again!] Uh, I mean— homerun!
no subject
I'm the one who lost it, I think.
[Hm...]
Winner.

[At the first comment, Kel shakes his head and makes an “X” with his arms. No, bro… we’ve lost it....]
Dinner. [Chicken not included.]
no subject
Hungry. [He pats his stomach.]
no subject
[Aww. Kel frowns, and pauses for a moment to dig in his pocket. Hmm—
[You want an orange granola bar, Bertholdt? Kel’s offering.] No good. I mean, uh— bad?
no subject
[Oh...Bertholdt holds up his hands and shakes his head.]
No, that's okay-- Thank you, or-
[He pauses. One word. The other boy seems to be taking the game seriously. He holds up one finger.]
Thanks.
[And a thumbs up, but he doesn't accept the bar.]
no subject
[Hm. He just said he was hungry, though....]
[Kel shrugs, and pauses to open and chomp on the bar himself. It’s a little… old… anyway.... But still edible!]
[He’s not taking the game super seriously but no one’s told him to stop, so— Questioning thumbs-up right back?]
Different—? [And he raises the bar again, to finish the sentence. Intention, which is as always very clear and not ambiguous at all: “Different food?”]
no subject
Fine.
no subject
[Hmm. Kel’s gonna fudge this round:] Nothungry? [It totally counts as one word if he says it like one.]
no subject
Satiated?
no subject
[Eh, that works.] Satisfying. [He stuffs the rest of the bar back in his pocket.]
no subject
Sleep.
no subject
Snooze. [It’s not a synonym if he’s thinking about the alarm button.]
no subject
Snore. [Looking at you, Reiner.]
no subject
Loud. [Or so Kel’s been told. He’s the guilty party, usually.]
no subject
no subject
Firework.
no subject
Light.
no subject
[Bertholdt’s getting “light” from this one, so to speak, whether he wants it or not.]
Sunshine.
[Is it just Kel or does this guy look kinda perturbed…? Something he (Kel) said?]
