Supernatural Creature AU Meme!

For all your gen or shippy supernatural creature needs! Maybe you've just been turned, or maybe you were born into a long line of mythical and/or magical beings. Make a top level explaining the type of mythical creature your character is, and people tagging in can either be a human, or another supernatural creature (of a same or different kind).

Rivalry between a vampire and werewolf clan! A siren, longing to lure unsuspecting humans to their ocean depths! A forbidden love affair between a fey creature and a human! All supernatural avenues are open to you.

Supernatural creatures can be as mainstream or as obscure as you like (though if you're choosing an obscure creature, maybe you should link to a description so people will know what they're in for). Let your heart run wild!

At seven foot everything Luka is a tower of a man. He is exquisitely dressed, very well muscled and has been a vampire longer than we, globally, have had streets. He is an elder vampire with next to no magic power, just the regenerative stasis his body is in and extraordinary strength and stamina. While he can be imposing and intimidating his manners, mannerisms and general aura belays more of a zest for life than one would expect from an elder vampire. He thirsts for blood AND petty drama. Anything and everything can be entertainment. Come try and climb this tree, worst case you’ll get tossed around in a fun way.

[ooc: Tentatively offering up an actress who's tangled with the supernatural & could definitely use more positive experiences with them. Cora IS more of accepting of vampires, though, so I'm curious about how they'd mesh.]

[toooo many possibilities. i want so many monsters. vampire stuff? the band is a bunch of different monsters? toki's a zombie or something? and, of course, whatever supernatural creature you're feeling. also extremely down for the process of becoming a supernatural creature, on whatever end. 18+ for the shippy stuff.]

[Arguably a supernatural creature in canon already, but I have a fae AU for him: Unseelie-born but raised unknowingly within the Summer Court for political reasons. I would also be happy to play him as merfolk or selkie, werefox, or some sort of half-serpent being like a lamia or yuan ti.]

[The most obvious one here is that she's become some kind of ghost, likely haunting Eddie Munson's trailer- though I've expanded that to include her being bound to Hawkins itself in the past and that was also fun. We'd obviously have to AU some things about Hawkins unless we're setting things in '86, but I'm down for doing things either way.

Also open to her being some other kind of monster- or her being a regular boring human to someone else's monster. Chill with assumed CR of all kinds for this.]

[In her canon she's something of a mermaid with legs, so why not have her be a full one? I have a verse where she's a mako shark mermaid, but I can also play her as a siren, nereid, and many a variety of other supernatural water beings.

I can also write her as a dhamphir, since her encountering a full-blooded vampire might be fun to plot out. Let us do all the writing things.]

[She's a shapeshifter, she prefers bigass animals, but really, any of them are doable.]

[Maison is a fire sprite, and he works at The Library, which is to say, the Secret Order of Librarians, tracking the movements, family lines, and history of all sorts of supernatural critters. The Library is a safe place for any of the above, either as guests or employees.]

Luka Forrester is an archetypical vampire in most respects. One in which he is atypical is his generally chipper and social demeanor. He especially gets this way about historical preservation and meeting other people skilled in making just about anything. Dressed in an amber brocade waistcoat, black silk shirt with ivory sleeve garters, he is nosing around trying to look at all of Maison’s supplies without being noticed. He is seven feet tall and muscle bound, so he has probably already failed in that respect.

[Ghost for sure, but also, probably one that's slowly turning more and more poltergeist, just angry that she's dead, angry that she can't connect with anyone she knows, angry at this godforsaken town and everything else.

What I'm saying is there's lots of things that fit, pick one and I'll run with it.]

[Said it before and I'll say it again: boy's a werewolf. I tend to go for genetic trait vs. bitten/curse/virus type, but that's just personal preference because not wanting to get involved with pack politics (and not liking to fight) is just one more reason he's a Failure As A Harrington™]
