Sanjiro is Shinoa are close, as to be expected. They are Father and Daughter, so no one finds it strange. Though no one knows just how close the two are. He couldn’t really recall when their relationship transcended being normal to what it is now. And what it is now is the two of them lying in bed together, the sun rising. It’s the weekend, so she doesn’t have to worry about going to school. That’s the only time he really lets her get up to these sort of activities with him.

Their clothes are on the floor of his bedroom, scattered across it. Had anyone seen them, they would have realized the two likely had nothing on underneath the bedsheets. He has an arm draped over her, holding her close to him as the two of them slept. But he’s starting to stir and wake up even as they lie there peacefully. He knows its wrong for the two of them to do what they do, but he feels like it has only brought them closer together.

His eyes slowly open up and a yawn spills from him. The warmth and weight of her body next to him isn’t missed. He tries not to stir her as he looks over to her and tilts his head to see is she’s awake too.

Weekends are Shinoa's favourite days. Aside from not needing to go to school, weekends allow her to sleep in and laze around in bed a little later than her usual time to get up and get ready. She gets to sleep in but not on her bed, no, and certainly not alone.

Sleeping on her father's bed is a hundred times better than her own bed. And sleeping with her father on his bed is infinitely better than all those things combined.

And sleeping in is what she's currently doing — rather, trying to get back to doing now that a sliver of sunlight has slipped through the small gaps of the curtains, settling over her skin.

Her features scrunch up slightly in annoyance as she wakes up then, sleep fading away. She should remind her father to get those blackout curtains already.

Her eyes are still shut but she's certainly a little more awake now, and very aware of her father holding her oh so close, closer than anyone could ever imagine. The corners of her mouth are threatening to break into a mischievous grin and so, she bites the inside of her cheek to suppress it, turning slightly on her side in an attempt to hide her face, her back facing Sanjiro instead.

And then, Shinoa pushes her body back into whatever space is left between them, shifting in a way that makes it seem like she's just looking for a comfortable spot in her sleep, yet her hips are slowly, deliberately rolling up against him.
