Hearing something nonstop that's untrue or unimportant is so tiresome... It's bound to wear someone down and make them numb to stuff that's actually important. Maybe it gets to a point where you believe what you hear. So it seems easy enough to take that sort of route because it'll seem like it'd do something, like you'd be giving them a taste of their own medicine or whatever.

[ His shoulders sink while he goes on before he thoughtfully cants his head. ]

[ Nazuna's words make him pause for a moment — "giving them a taste of their own medicine". It's evocative to him, because it's something he's heard a lot, and it tampers down his temper fairly effectively. ]

So you're really just going to sit there and assume I can read your mind or that I've got a problem with you. You'll have to accept that isn't the case about everybody if you ever want to have a conversation. Or maybe just be a little less vague.
