It's time to clean/cook/garden/take care of something! Do you work together, or does one of you hide until everything is done?

Whether it's for furniture, groceries, or something in between, shopping is something that everybody must do at some point in time! What varies is if they like it or not.

"That's what chicken nuggets are for," Marion protests. She doesn't fight him this time around. She will want to kill him by the time they're done.

"Cheese dogs?" What the hell Nate. "Well the hamburger meat is on sale..."

She trails off a bit. "That's right. You haven't seen the house."

She grins up at him. "My grill is awesome. We'll need to pick up a few things for it though. Needs a bit of a cleaning first."

"They're teens not five." He's laughing though and yes if he realises he's going too far he'll stop.

"What? Sa... Sammy liked them okay?" He knew the kids were older than his son had been, but they hadn't really had a chance to be kids, so why not try it. "Not yet, you keep inviting me but something comes up. Figured anyone calls this weekend my cell's turned off."

"No problem I can do that. How about potato salad too? Or not enough protein in it?"

"So? I eat them and I'm an adult," Marion says with a mock glare.

"I never had them," she admits. "I guess they would be good to try out. You never know."

That gets a slow grin from Marion. "Do that and I might share the scotch I hide from the kids. They're too young to sneak my good stuff."

That gets a laugh. "I add bacon with the eggs. Trust me. It's awesome and the carbs are great."

He chuckled. "You may be grown up but your five." So says Marshmallow man who's like... three.

"And that would be bad?" He makes a mental note to get some wine before they check out. Because it wouldn't hurt if they shared a bottle. Kids get soda though.

"See I knew there was a reason I liked you Marion."

"Says the very tall three year old," she teases. She can't help but flirt a little.

"For me? Yes. I don't want to deal with three hang overs," Marion pointed out. Teenagers never know how to drink right.

That gets a slight blush. "Well I do enjoy surprising you."

"Oh so we're going there? We're getting a watermelon then." And he tosses water balloons into the cart.

"Just tell them they drink again they're stuck with cleaning up." Not that it worked with his dad, but Nate never got that drunk around Jimmy.

Oh, that blush is not going to be ignored long. He reaches behind her for something on the shelf so he had to get closer. "Keep blushing omeone might get the feeling you have a crush." the words were barely whispered.

"Well they are good for you," Marion said while trying t keep the water balloons out. She gets the impression that Nate is going to get his way.

"You know me. They look sick and I just want to fuss." She huffs slightly not understanding how anyone could have her so wound around their fingers/

The closeness is a momentary distraction. Then he whispers and well, how can that not get a reaction? She just looks at him with slightly wider eyes and blushes again. "I, um."

Sorry?

Now really, if he didn't distract you, would shopping be as fun?

"If it was ant=y different they wouldn't trust you Marion."

While she's distracted in go the water balloons and a quick kiss to her neck.

"I know," Marion replies.

Then she just starts to blush even more. She isn't sure why she is getting so flustered. The kiss to her neck makes her stomach flip flop in a good way.

No wonder Sherry said they need to get a room. Not that she expects this to go further than flirting. Still it must be satisfying to see her react so girlishly. She is terrible at hiding her feelings.

That would be when Marion's phone rings. Apparently, someone wants her immediately if not sooner.

"You should probably get that." Though part of him wanted to snatch it and toss the damned thing into the lobster tank as they passed seafood.

Marion rolls her eyes at him. She can see that look. She grabs her phone seeing on the screen it's Eliot.

So of course she answers.

"Hey El. What's up?"

"Don' wann' go back." His voice is slurred and wet. Someone found that Scotch she'd hidden away.

Oh no.

"Eliot. You're not going anywhere." She is playing Mother here it feels like. Given she knows it's harder for a werewolf to have children she finds she's okay with this. Besides she is his Alpha.

"Nuh-uh. Sh'rrrry wanneda go. Don' wanna go back."

What the hell. "Where did Sherry want to go?"

Marion's expression is bordering on furious.

"Cir'us," he mumbled. "Don' wanna go back there."

"Well then you won't. Simple as that. Sherry didn't know that would upset you." She goes from angry to trying to sooth him in an instant.

She really is Pack Mom.

"Chokin' me. Too much sil'er. Too tight."

"Eliot. No. You're never going back there," she growls. "No one owns you. You're free and safe.... Sherry just had no idea that Holland did that to you."

"Uh-uh," came the teen's voice over the phone. "Wannit Hollan'. Af'er 'e sol' us."

"I know." She needs Nate so badly right now. She is angry again. "They won't hurt you ever again."

"Don' wanna go back!" he insists. Sorry, Marion, trying to reason with a drunk Eliot is like trying to reason with a two year old.

"Marion, hand over the list. Sounds like you need to go home." He was glad they had taken two cars. "I'll behave and get what's on it."

Marion just blinks up at Nate. Then she gives him a quick kiss on the cheek because he was her her right now.

"Thanks Nate," she murmurs then hands him the list as she picks her purse up.

"Eliot. I'm coming home."
