Q4Q

YOU MAY KNOW EACH OTHER ALREADY - OR YOU MAY NOT. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU'RE NOW PASSING THE TIME ASKING EACH OTHER QUESTIONS. IT'S A GAME! A QUESTION FOR A QUESTION. YOU START OFF ASKING YOUR OPPONENT A QUESTION OF CHOICE AND IF THEY ANSWER IT, THEY'RE ALLOWED TO ASK YOU A QUESTION IN TURN. THE RULES ARE SIMPLE, ONLY AS LONG AS YOU ANSWER THE OTHER PERSON'S QUESTIONS ARE YOU ALLOWED TO ASK QUESTIONS YOURSELF, BUT THERE IS NO EXPECTATION OF TRUTHFULNESS HERE, LIE IF YOU MUST OR WANT, JUST KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING.
How to play -
1. Comment with your character's name, fandom and preference.
2. If you want, leave a question in the comment field that your character is asking their opponent. Or don't. I'm not the cops.
3. Pick other characters to question and have fun!

Captain Picard has many strengths but they are largely tactical. As neither Captain is likely to create a makeshift weapon, or utilize a phaser, this talent for creative solutions will not aid Captain Picard.
That said, it is entirely likely that any fistfight between the Captains Picard and Kirk would be broken up by Lieutenant Commander Worf or myself, so any projections regarding the ultimate winner are moot. The fight would not reach its conclusion.
omg ilu.
Oh yeah, yeah. That makes perfect sense. It's not meant to reach a conclusion, it's just a what if kind of thing.
But, dude, what if they have swords? I mean, I think Sulu versus Picard on sword would be interesting, but this is about captain verses captain.
<3 I knew immediately I had to do this.
If it remains a contest between Captains, however, then the addition of swords would tilt the balance in Captain Picard's favor. As far as I am aware, Captain Kirk has little to no training in the use of any kind of sword.
Returning to your original hypothetical: I am curious why you did not include Captains Pike, Janeway, or Commander Sisko?
And it is amazing, thank you!
Yeah, you have a point there. And that would be an unfair advantage.
Oh, that is so easy! The reason why is they are the most matched up in my mind. Pike could easily take Kirk. Janeway would outfox them all before anyone could throw a punch. And Sisko? Come on, that dude is amazing. He would beat everyone listed, Picard and Kirk included. Do you disagree?
no subject
I do not. Your reasoning is brief, but accurate.
[This is some high praise from a Vulcan.]
I would be interested in hearing other hypotheticals of this nature. Do you perhaps have an electronic mailing list I may subscribe to?

I could have went deeper, but it didn't really need it, but thanks bro. I appreciate it.
[ High praise indeed. He lights up then hearing the rest.]
Oh, totally! I have a podcast I can write down the address for you, and maybe one day if you want I could totally invite you on!

I wish I had a TOS!Spock journal, but alas.]I would appreciate the information, thank you.
If you wish to invite me on, I would not be opposed. I must request that you contact me in advance, however, so that I may arrange my schedule appropriately.

All Spocks are good Spocks!]Absolutely dude, here. [ He hands him a little card with a butterfly emblem on the front but the QR code on the back, and an address to a Spotify link. Gotta love tech upgrades. ]
I can absolutely work with you on that. My job keeps me busy too, but we'll make it work. You're totally cool and I'd love to pick your brain more one day!

[ He's already googling Ewoks to show her a picture. ]
Did you watch no sci-fi as a kid? We grew up in the golden age of science fiction!
no subject
I did sports.

[ He holds his phone over to show a picture of the Ewok.]
Is this your teddy bear in space? If so, yes it's Star Wars.

Who is this Captain Picard, anyway? I can't say that I've heard the name.
no subject
Oh. My. God. [ This geek needs a second, but then he starts his rambling.]
Oh man, you totally wouldn't have heard the name, no. Captain Jean-Luc Picard wasn't born until 2305. I could normally do the Stardate for you, but just oh my god, you're YOU. He totally captains the Enterprise NCC-1701-D way in your future, dude. I'm like a huge fan.
[ This probably breaks so many rules, but. This Kirk is making these nerds dreams come true. And he's probably going to write it off as he's going crazy later. It's fine. ]
