( SO sorry for the delay, holiday weekend took over. but let me know if this is alright! i'm not canon familiar so i went off her wiki page for an idea of things. happy to change anything or swap to prose or whatever else you'd like! )

[ It's a little cliche but it started out with Kiyoko babysitting his daughter. She was a third year, getting ready for college and needed extra cash and Dojima needed someone else at home to look over Nanako when he worked late nights. It was a good trade off for them both and Dojima was very happy with the arrangement. What he didn't expect was... well, to become somewhat attached to Kiyoko. She was diligent and careful and considerate and incredibly beautiful. He admired her, in a distant sort of "if I was a teenager again" kind of way and left it at that.

But Nanako liked her and so they spent more time together. He invited her to family outings, paid for her to stay overnight with Nanako sometimes, made sure she had a little extra for pocket money when he knew she was saving up mostly for college. It was all fine until she finally did graduate and left for Tokyo. Then, a kind of gloom came over the Dojima household without Kiyoko around.

Nothing veered into inappropriate until Kiyoko returned for winter break. She visited the Dojimas and seemed to have blossomed a little in her time away, making Dojima's eyes linger a little more on her than he expected. The surprising thing though was that she was looking back. That was definitely more than unexpected.

They didn't do anything, didn't act on it until she returned once again for her spring break. Nanako was spending most of it on a trip with her friends so Dojima didn't expect to see Kiyoko that time until, well, she was over at the Dojima's house and visiting him. One thing led to another and they ended up sharing a kiss, which Dojima did not expect in the least.

It's now though, summer break, Nanako off for a few weeks at a summer camp and Dojima alone in the house that things come to a bit of a boiling point with Kiyoko. He could blame the sake he drank earlier tonight for making Dojima a bit bolder but he finds himself on the couch with Kiyoko, kissing her and kissing her and kissing her. When he breaks off from the kiss, he lifts his hand to trail fingers down the side of her face and admire her for a moment. ]

I'd ask you what you find so interesting about an old man like me but... [ He shrugs. ] You're under my skin. What can I do?

[ Kiyoko hadn't meant to get attached to Nanaka or to Dojima for that matter. She's kind and compassionate but she also knew the arrangement is temporary and all. But then, she had gotten attached and Nanaka had been attached too.

It's hard not and somewhere along the way, her attention had started to linger on Dojima too. It's inappropriate, she's aware of that and she's far too shy to really do anything but think the thoughts that settled and came to her unbidden. She keeps them to herself, a little crush isn't a big deal after all.

But after her first break... she notices Dojima's eyes. It didn't mean anything she'd told herself then and returned to studying hard after winter break and until finally again there was another break and she returns home. That break...they kissed. Kiyoko isn't sure which one of them had even initiated it as she thought about it after, for weeks. She recalled over and over, though, the sensation of his lips against hers. ]

Dojima-san...

[ Kiyoko's a bit breathless after all the kisses, her lips tingling and her cheeks pink. She isn't sure what she'd expected to happen this time when she returned on break, when Nanako wasn't going to be there and they were definitely going to be alone once more.

She turns her head, pressing a soft kiss to his fingers, a bit flustered by the boldness in his words honestly. ]

How could I not find you interesting...?

[ It truly must be the sake making him so bold, he thinks. Or at least, he wants something to blame because he finds himself curling his hand against her cheek after she kisses his fingers and letting his thumb drag across her bottom lip. Kiyoko was truly beautiful and he was a lucky man to be able to kiss her, even with the years apart between them. ]

I'm just an old small town detective. I've got nothing for you.

[ And he looks so incredibly fond in that moment as he stares at her. He'll lean in then and press another kiss to her lips, light and careful. ]

But I'm happy to be here for you until you find the one for you.

[ He has no illusions that this is going to be something more than this, if only because he refuses to let Kiyoko settle for just him when she has her whole life ahead of her. But fooling around a bit when she's on her school break? He's more than happy to give her that.

He won't let her argue the point either, instead occupying her mouth with his own and taking it in a deeper, more passionate kiss. ]

[ Kiyoko's lips part as she flushes but doesn't look away from him. She doesn't like him seemingly putting himself down. He's more than that, he's a good man, a good father. He's incredibly interesting to spend time with. She values it, looks forward to seeing him every chance that she gets.

She doesn't argue with him just now, doesn't protest and simply kisses him back but the second sentiment she does take a little more issue with. But, he doesn't give her the time to say a word. She'll keep her thoughts to herself for the time being because it's hard to break away from the deeper kiss.

Kiyoko makes a soft noise into the kiss, lips parted, tasting him and she very much enjoys the way his facial hair feels against her skin. She touches his cheek gently pressing into the kiss more, her free hand dropping to his thigh. ]

1. Shut up and kiss me already.
2. It's not like I like you or anything! ...Okay, well—maybe I do.
3. S-Stop looking at me like that! You're making me blush...
