Run boy run

On The Run Meme
Maybe something went wrong, or maybe it's just another normal day in your life, but you've found yourself on the run. Did you commit a crime, or cross the wrong person, or simply end up in the wrong place at the wrong time? Whatever the reason behind your situation is, your goal is the same: don't get caught.
How To Play
• Comment with your character, and if you're feeling ambitious put in a bit of a starter. Who are you running from and why?
• Respond to others, either as their partner on the run or part of the force chasing them.
• Have epic adventures, fall in love, utterly fail and get caught. See how it goes!
• RNG for some extra unpredictable fun.
• RNG for some extra unpredictable fun.
Scenarios
1. Running from the cops. You broke the law, whether it was shoplifting or murder, and now you've got a warrant out for your arrest.
2. Attracted the wrong attention. You made someone angry, or obsessed, or otherwise drawn their ire and now they're after you.
3. Somewhere or somewhen. You've ended up in a place and/or time in which you're not welcome.
4. Wildcard!
Relationships
1. Friends (or more.) You've known each other for awhile and are on good terms, so hopefully you can rely on each other in this situation.
2. Circumstantial allies. Strangers, enemies, or otherwise you've ended up in this mess together, and it might benefit you both to cooperate.
3. Opposite sides. One of you is the runner, and the other is pursuing. Which will prevail?
4. Wildcard!
Complications
1. Late to the party. How many people did you piss off? In addition to whoever was already after you, someone else now is as well. Maybe they'll take each other out?
2. Confrontation. They've found you, and it's come down to a fight.
3. Disguise. You can't evade them, but you can hope they won't recognize you. Better be a good actor!
4. Wildcard!

[He'd heard Ed had been laying low since a run in with Hornigold, but this... this shanty tent in the trees was somehow not what he pictured when he'd imagined the safe house Edward I-Can-Do-Anything Teach had managed to secure for himself.]
Just how we like em.
The space is small, only a few yards long, but Edward still bothers to give a tour.]
This is the living room, dining room, kitchen, and wash room. [He notes this without moving, but extends an arm to a campfire setup right outside.] Cooking happens just there. And back at the other end is the bedroom.

Soji Asha | Star Trek (Picard), OTA
Optional Starter, OTA. Prose or Brackets fine.
Shit, she really doesn't have time for this--
Her polite, sunny smile is somewhat less disarming than usual as she tries to casually power-walk to the front door. Fortunately, even in a blind rush, she doesn't cut an intimidating figure and people only spare her a few weird looks before carrying on. As she gets about halfway through the room, however, a series of black clad figures dart in front of the picture windows.
Soji instantly heel turns and darts into the nearest booth. There are no menus so she does her best to make her hair into a curtain and sink into the seat.
"Okay--this--okay this is fine--they didn't see me--" she mutters to herself, her tone high and clearly one step away from full tilt hysteria.
The back door to the building flies open with a resounding bang and Soji panics. This place is packed--she lunges in her seat and grabs the nearest person to the table. Her grip is white knuckled and painful, and she's apparently stronger than she looks. She hauls them into the booth with her and promptly tries to duck behind them for cover.
"Hi--sorry--I just--damn it--" She sinks down again as a pair of men in black stomp in from the alley. The same guys who chased her down this street, who took shots at her when she got out of her cab.

It works a charm on Soji.
His men, clothed in black, stomp and snarl like the hounds of hell. As long as she's afraid, she may not reason out their positions, put together the flanking maneuver. They flush her effortlessly into the trap, and she snaps the snare around her own neck when she reaches for him. He put himself there, of course. Would have offered her the pretense of protection if she hadn't seized it from him. Lorca acts in accordance with her lead, follows it by hunching forward on with his elbows on the table. Substantial cover.
"Having a hard day?"
He's dressed darkly, too, but the harsh angles and coarse textures of tactical gear are replaced with soft leather, approachable denim. Civilian clothes, concealing finer defensive measures. A light-weight, ballistic armor vest under his shirt. A shoulder-holster cradling a phaser, set to stun. One might not be enough, if the strength of her grip betrays her hardiness, as well. And a dagger in his boot, because old habits die hard.
His men put on a good show of carrying on their search. They have to sell it for a few minutes, and then they'll be out. Posted by the exits. Their orders require no adjustment, no covert signal or eye contact from him. In the event of any surprises, his reinforcements are already surrounding him. Passing as patrons, as subtly equipped as he is.

They hadn't seen her.
Once they're out of sight she sags in the seat, well hidden by this poor guy she's dragged in to sit next to her. She gives him a better look then, an apologetic lilt to her grimace.
"Hard is one word for it," she agrees and her eyes flick to track the crowd. She'd gotten a few strange looks but the guy she grabbed hadn't really reacted. Nobody was particularly alarmed.
"Hi--sorry about that," she continues softly and tries to adopt a slightly less suspicious posture. She's not great at it, but her generally unassuming frame and face help immensely. "Those two guys are bad news. They've been chasing me since I got out of my cab."

Izuku tilts his head as he studies him, quiet at first to see if the other person notices he's there. He speaks up when he doesn't get a response. ] Are you trying to sleep here? It doesn't look comfortable.

He's filthy, he knows that, but this is all he can really do, sitting half-conscious with his arms tucked up under a ragged poncho and stolen military-issue pants with bulging pockets. His head lolls forward, eyes half open, the bandages wrapped around the majority of his face obscuring everything that his hair doesn't hide on its own.]
Just wanted to feel the sun...
[The voice is quiet, hoarse, coming from somewhere a little further down from where his mouth is hidden.]
no subject
He holds a hand out. ] Come on. I have a balcony you can sit out on. I'll make you something to eat while you get cleaned up. You can sit out in the sun all you want and let it dry you while you eat.
[ And if he tries anything dumb, Izuku will quickly deal with him. ]
