I'd love him to play earnestly with a little kid/sweetly innocent person or a comedically stupid situation like having to play a game to save the world.

Living as he does deep in the wilderness, Piccolo doesn't see many visitors who don't come looking for him. The only exception was people who were lost. Through no doubt a logical series of events, Mackenzie somehow ended up coming down the waterfall nearby and was scooped up by the big green alien himself. Not knowing the way home and it being too dark to go looking, the plan is that she spends the night.

After magically poofing her a fresh set of dry clothes, things have somewhat stalled. They're just sat staring at each other, him in his sinister-looking throne and her on a specially materialised, mushroom-themed stool. There's not much to do in his house. Seriously.

"...so... do you like... " He thinks of what kids like and only three things come to mind. Training. Superheroes. And- "Games?"

He doesn't know many, but he's already poofed up pyjamas, a seat, and a teeny little Mackenzie-sized bed in the corner. No doubt he can materialise what is needed.

The events that lead her over that waterfall were indeed logical. Logical in the way that there was logic to it. Not so much in the "actually making sense" kind of way. I mean, she was chasing after a corn-themed expert thief. Sense really had nothing to do with it. And it hadn't for a while. She was honestly starting to feel like if you took all the sense she'd collected from all her cases, it wouldn't even be enough for the equivalent of a happy meal. Though thanks to Piccolo for saving her life, that metaphorical dream might one day be a reality.

Though just sitting there staring at each other was rather awkward, Mackenzie was nevertheless just happy to be here. Even as strange as Piccolo might seem to some people, he really only clocked in at about a six on the Touch Detective's strange scale. Probably closer to a five if she was honest. Regardless, she's pretty content all things considered. This stool is super comfy and she can't help but feel the material against the palm of her hand, mentally noting the texture. To think someone could just make something this soft with what seemed like magic...

His words quickly pull her from her thoughts. She tries to regain her composure as subtly as possible. Though she might be a child, she must still at least try and seem ladylike. Though that's usually much easier with her friends around.

"I like games." every kid does. And despite trying to make it seem like a casual statement, her excitement does shine through. ...Though that may be because she's finally going to get to play with someone who isn't a sore loser (Chloe) or who needs to be reminded of what game they're playing every five minutes (Penelope).

"Hmm." Piccolo thoughtfully wonders about what sort of games he could possibly play. Mackenzie seems a little on the soft side for rough housing types and he doesn't have the experience of too many others. Even with his closest friends, he doesn't hang around for frivolous games. "Oh, how about this then..."

He's rarely materialised so many things for one person in such a short time, but once again his hand opens wide and in a puff of yellow smoke, a pack of cards appears. It even has plastic wrapping, and he slides it over his small table towards her. The wide-eyed girl has a certain sharpness to her, and part of him expects her to want to verify he hasn't conjured up a stacked deck.

He doesn't expand on his offering. The game choice is entirely in her hands, it seems- honestly, he's just hoping she doesn't pick something difficult. "Knock yourself out."

Even though he's already conjured up several things for her, she still can't get over how easily he's able to do it. Is it an ability only he can do? Or can you be taught it? She makes a mental note to ask him at some point, but for now she has something else to take up her attention. Using the edge of one of her fingernails, she opens the plastic packaging without damaging the cards and briefly looks over the deck. Everything seems to be in order. So she starts shuffling the deck, but not before taking out the rules card, the joker cards, and whatever other extras might be inside.

For the first few seconds she focuses solely on the shuffling, but once she gets a better feel for the cards, she looks up. "...we could play Go Fish. Have you ever played it before...?"

tldr- a space pirate in theory, vigilante in practice. He pretends not to be nice because it's embarrassing. A self-styled ‘demon of justice.’

He can't resist challenges no matter how small, so anything is good, but I'd love something that lends itself to conversation and introspection like poker.

[Just friendly, she's a literal child.

Favorites include chess, checkers, monopoly, and go fish. I'm open to ideas, though.]
