1. LOCKER ROOM. Or communal showers, or dressing room, or maybe just the aftermath of a really great party. You didn't mean for your eyes to wander while they were getting changed...

2. THE BEACH. Substitute "indoor pool" if you're in a particularly cold part of the world. Wow, that swimming costume really doesn't leave much to the imagination...

3. INJURY. Congratulations, you've got a new scar to add to the collection! And asking about the older ones is a perfectly legitimate tactic for keeping you distracted while they patch up the latest one...

4. EARLY MORNING. Or late night perhaps...either way, they're too sleepy to notice that those PJs aren't doing too much for public decency...

5. PRE-SEX. Sure, you'll get back to the business at hand in a minute, but right now you're curious...

6. THE MORNING AFTER. Wow, how dark was it in that bedroom? Or were you just really drunk? Either way, you'd swear half of those weren't there last night...

[Loki freezes for a moment, wondering if he means his Jotun scares or something else]

What?

Your scars, man. Don't act like you don't have any, I know all the myths like the back of my damn hand. Just three! We'll make it even.

[He's got an honest look in his eyes. No tricks or secret plans here, for once. He's honestly just curious.]

[Loki relaxes when he realizes what Gabriel is asking. Slowly a few scars came up on his body. On long one that adorned his neck, a thin one going diagonal across his back and a third running horizontal across his abdomen]

[Never underestimate Gabriel, though, because he has the potential to get playful with everything he does. He leans over and licks a stripe down the scar on Loki's neck, grinning smugly after he does so.]

[Loki shudders, but a good shudder. As these scars rarely see the light of day they're very sensitive. ]

The Fae can get very angry when you out-smart them. I was rather lucky the Elven hunter who found me had a healing stone, but the tissue damage could not be healed. Fairy magic.

[Next, he runs his whole hand horizontally across Loki's stomach, mapping out the long scar with his fingertips.]

[He hums at the comfortable warmth Gabriel's hand leaves in its wake.]

I let my guard down on a hunting trip. The beast was faster than I gave it credit for.

What kind of animal? That's surprising, man, even for you.

[Gabriel leans over to lick a stripe down this scar as well, hoping it gets a bigger reaction from Loki since it's further down on his stomach.]

[Loki is about to answer him but Gabriel's action cause him to interrupt himself with a rather loud moan.]

Gods, do you want me to answer or not? [Not that he'd be complaining if the other just continued doing that fora while.]

Yes, fine. Excuse me for getting preoccupied with you sometimes.

[And now he's just going to rest his head on Loki's stomach for a while instead. Tease.]

[Loki chuckles, making his stomach bounce just a little]

It was some sort of feline beast. We were on a hunting trip and Thor thought it would be a good idea to go out without the rest of the group. We felled a prize buck, but when we went to retrieve it the beast had already claimed it. We had to fight it off before returning to camp.

[He rolls his eyes at the mention of Thor - it was good to know that some things never changed between universes.]

You don't have to hide them, y'know.

I prefer to. They are unsightly, signs of my past mistakes. I would rather not be reminded of them.

But for the moment you still have one more scar to find.

I dunno, man. You're a god, alright? I think that pretty much goes hand in hand with saying that you're fucking beautiful regardless.

[He stares down at Loki for about a minute, trying to figure it out.]

[Loki smirks and rolls over onto his stomach, exposing the thin scar on his back.]

Very good.

Dude, it's not flattery! I'm serious!

[He can't help but laugh and decides this is a great time to roll on top of Loki as well, covering him like a blanket.]

Okay, details, let's go.

[Loki's mood darkens just a bit, but not because of Gabriel (no, actually that feels rather nice).]

I spoke out of turn in the All-Father's court, and we know he can only show favoritism to Thor.

[There were more scars much like that one, but Loki chose to leave those hidden].

[Oh.

Now, his Father really never hurt he or any of his brothers physically. The fact of the matter was he wasn't really around enough to even think about doing that.

Despite most of Gabriel's centering around abandonment issues, he knows what it's like to not be the favorite son, and so he can sort of empathize with that. His face falls considerably, thinking about the past, and it's probably even evident in his body language.]

[Loki reaches back and starts playing with Gabriel's hair. Honestly the only reason he showed Gabriel that scar was because, despite all of his issuses, he trusts the angel. When he thinks on his power (when he's not being terrified) he thinks that if anyone can challenge the All-Father it would be Gabriel.]

Come now, all the attention you paid to the others, but not to this one?

Sorry. Guess I got a little distracted.

[It's something he's come to realize about Loki, and honestly? He's grateful for it. He knows how hard it is for either of them to come to trust someone completely, but the fact that either of them has come this far speaks leaps and bounds. They don't really have to speak much about what either of them mean to eachother - it's just understood.

Gently, he places a trail of almost-reverent kisses along the scar on Loki's back.]

[Each kiss sends shivers down Loki's spine. He smiles, very much enjoying the attention he was receiving. Maybe he'd slip a few scars out every once in a while.]

[He notices the effect everything's having on Loki, and he can't help but eat it up. He hasn't had this sort of close comfort with someone in a while, and it's this feeling that guides him to nuzzle against Loki's neck, giving it a few kisses while he's at it.

Yeah, he's in deep right now.]
