[It's rough, when you accidentally stumble through a portal you made through desperate summoning measures and end up in a world that doesn't think kindly of bats. It's rougher still when tumbling into another world means that you're drained of energy and reduced to staying in a batty form, at least until you manage to get a good Samaritan's attention and cajole him, through the best doe eyes you can muster, into taking you in for a few days.

Even rougher when the bats in this world subsist off insects and fruit. Aster's sure he could live happily without ever seeing another insect again, let alone a piece of apple. Vomit. But it does the job, certainly; Masayoshi's managed to get the shitty little bat back into a decent enough state that he's able to contemplate whether or not to transform. Certainly energetic enough to preen, wingtips over his big, fluffy ears, and inwardly bemoan the fact that he's had to look like a drowned rat for these past few days. At least the sucker who's taken him in is cute enough to pass for a decent meal, and he knows damn well how to take care of his meals post-feed, so it might pass as thanks if he can only swing it the right way.

Why not. Not like he has anything else to focus on bar getting back to normal anyway. So he waits patiently for Masayoshi to come back home, and puts on his best 'pathetic little beast' act, chirping and fluttering half-heartedly towards him. Come on big guy, take the bait. Just pick up the cute, sweet, harmless little bat. Stick your fingers through the bars he is so normal he will not bite you etc etc]

[Pets were not allowed in Masayoshi's apartment. But this wasn't a pet, it was an emaciated wild animal that needed his help. Thoughts like "rabies" or "fleas" did not dare cross his mind as he carried the critter back to his place. The bigger concern to him was his manager or landlord giving him an earful. The risk was worth it to him, as having another living being around seemed to liven up his otherwise lonely apartment.

As the bat regained its strength, Masayoshi couldn't help but wonder if it actually were some kind of pet. He was no animal expert by any means, but its coat seemed exceptionally pretty and its eyes full of intelligence. Who knows, perhaps it belonged to an exotic animal cafe or was some kind of trained animal actor for movies and television.

These thoughts were enough for Masayoshi to justify to himself the decision to open up the cage and try to coax the little bat onto his hand. Logic and commonsense were never his strong suit, and really, he just wanted to pet the damn thing. It just looked just sooo soft and cute, and had the most adorable big ol' eyes. What harm could such a creature possibly inflict upon him? (Rabies, Masayoshi. Rabies is still a thing.)]

Hey there, little guy. You probably want to get out and stretch your wings, huh? You'll be free soon, I promise.

[Good. Good. Wonderful. Just a little closer, just so that he's a good distance away from the cage's confines. His ears flick back and forth, eyes gleaming with excitement, as he climbs greedily up Masayoshi's hand, up up over his forearm, fully intending to climb up to his shoulder and then

disappearing in a cloud of pink smoke]

[There is now a hot pink bitch named Breakfast leaning on his saviour's shoulder. He stretches, bends over backwards just to pop his back, and groans pathetically.]

Stretch is right! I appreciate the thought of a cage for a cute little pet, but oough, it made me want to cry, not being able to really stretch out on a nice, soft bed...Or eat delicious food...

[The bat had turned into a...boy? A boy. A pretty one at that, prettier than any of the other men working at Masayoshi's agency. Hell. Prettier than the girls, too. And he was fashionable to boot.

The exceptionally pretty boy was now leaning on him, complimenting him. Being called "hero" was music to his ears, his favorite word of all but... No, Masayoshi, don't let that get to your head. This was a guy, a person, a human being(?) that he had trapped in a cage in his apartment.]

[As evidenced by his panicked state, any flirtation or sexual advances had gone right over Masayoshi's head. His attention was hyper focused on his ever increasing list of accidental crimes.

Not only had he accidentally kidnapped Aster, he had probably witnessed all his embarrassing moments, too. Like his manager coming over to chew him out, and his neighbor complaining to him to keep it down because he was cheering too loudly while watching Tokusatsu reruns, and who could forget the entire secret otaku lair? Oh right, he also dressed up as a hero and went out at night to pester litterers and loiterers. Oh god. Could this be some kind of setup???]

If, um, you need any money to help you get back on your feet after all this, I'd be more than happy to help.

[Cue a burst of obnoxious giggles, though at least they're genuine; he's both giddy to at least have the choice of transformation back, as well as finding his shitty joke funny.] It's not the biggest, but you know, you know, we can share it! [Masayoshi vaguely recalled some memories of school trips where some boys might have been forced to share beds or sleep on the floor due to some mix up. He was always happy to offer up his bed, but the other boys always seemed to choose the floor instead. Was sharing a bed really more uncomfortable than the floor?! Well, maybe it was just him they didn't like. Despite his current burgeoning popularity as a model, he never had any friends in school.

The more Aster spoke, the more Masayoshi calmed down and his worries faded away. He may look small and cute, but he totally had this mature and cool aura about him. It was an attitude Masayoshi could appreciate as someone who couldn't seem to figure out how to "grow up."]
