Acts of nature, vicious monsters, merciless enemies, and treacherous worlds. These are circumstances which put your skills and your wit to the ultimate test: the struggle to survive. Maybe you're fit enough to make it on your own, or maybe you're in over your head. Either way, can you afford to help a friend or stranger in need? That's a decision you'll have to make in the moment.

1. wilderness
Whether you're stranded, adventuring, or simply camping, the wild has been known to turn on those who would appreciate her splendor in an instant. Wild animals, inclement weather, hazardous territory, and food that fights back are just some of the things you'll need to contend with to survive.

2. natural disaster
Earthquakes, floods, avalanches, and more. These forces of nature are hard to predict, and even harder to control. You may need more than just your own wit and ingenuity to make it through this.

3. post-apoc
The world has met with some disaster - be it war, a climate event, an invasion - and for most, all the comforts of modern life are a thing of the distant past. How have the stragglers survived so far?

4. alien planet
You've landed on a strange and unknown world, and you have no idea what dangers could lurk ahead. The very air could be poison, and on some worlds, even the plants have teeth!

5. zombies
Whatever you do, don't get bitten. No one can afford to spare your life when the virus takes hold.

6. robot uprising
Humanity has been pushed to the very brink of existence on their own world, as AIs rise up to take their place as the rightful stewards of the planet. Do you even stand a chance against intelligence and physical ability far superior to a mere fleshy being?

7. monsters
Take care and stay on your guard, for this territory is crawling with foul beasts who will come for you at any sign of... fear, sound, movement, blood... or what have you!

In this nightmare, your enemies are the very people who are trapped here with you. Do you team up to survive, or do you take no prisoners?

Throwing people into the wilderness is fine training.

I'd also love action stuff. Ignore power levels, I just adapt him to whatever is fun.

[ tall and athletic, can see corpses a day before they die. kinda ridiculous in her enthusiasm to make sure no one dies! ]

[ It's the worst earthquake Tokyo has seen in decades, which makes it a very unfortunate day to be visiting a 10 floor shopping center. Tokiko hadn't even needed anything in particular, she'd just been browsing because Natsuki told her that it'd be good for her to get out of the house a little.

What rotten timing... is all that Tokiko can think when the shaking finally abates. She emerges from under a sales table that has halfway collapsed on top of her and assesses the damage. A good bit of the upper floor has crashed into this one, leaving her feeling more like she's in a collapsed mine than in the swimsuit department.

Idly, she wonders if the other customers were crashed by the rubble or had the good sense to escape in time. It takes her a moment to notice another girl in the vicinity. She expects a corpse but... ]

Ah. You're alive.

[ She sounds neither delighted nor disappointed by this. ]

[ The timing really couldn't have been worse. The problem with premonitory corpses, aside from seeing them in the first place, was that you had to be there in order to see them. There were a choice couple of people near the shopping center Satsuki had to get in touch with prior to the earthquake to warn them, inform them to stay alive-- then naturally, she had to go and check on whether or not she was successful.

The good news was, those people were safe. But for those inside the center... she had to leap into action. There were those she could keep safe for now, instructing whomever she could on the best methods to weather an earthquake. Get away from glass partitions, steer clear of any aisles and try to find something to either hide under or a wall to stay close by to.

Satsuki was running out of time herself-- and did in fact, find herself buried under a shelf for an uncomfortable amount of time. Not good, all it took was for a wrong vibration for her to either be sent hurtling to a floor beneath her, or for the shelf to collapse--

It was luck, naturally, that kept her alive. She's certainly worse for wear, dusty and searching for any sign of life. It looked like there might've been some kind of evacuation, or... there may be a majority of customers that had fallen through.

Thoughts like that permeated through her mind before she's snapped back to attention, hearing someone else plainly stating the facts. Why yes. She is alive. In contrast, Satsuki looks equal measures relieved and panicked. ]

Yes! You-- are you alright?! Are you injured?!

[ Not dead, good. Not particularly jovial about still being alive, but this was pretty traumatic...! ]

[ Injury, yes. A reasonable question to ask. Tokiko runs a hand along her back, where the table had caved in over her. It hurts a little and she's sure it's going to bruise, but she's standing and moving fine, so... ]

Surprisingly enough, I'm not. A bit bruised, but no worse for wear overall.

[ Taking a look around at the apocalyptic scene unfolding around them, it seems nothing short of miraculous. ]

There's bound to be a number of people here who weren't as lucky. We'll have to watch out for bodies.

[ The prospect of finding corpses leaves her feeling neutral. Death is an inescapable part of life and every day might be one's last. There's nothing particularly tragic about that. The only problem is that it might be a hassle to deal with if this other girl gets freaked out, as people tend to.

And yet, Tokiko has to admit that it's a good thing she didn't get stranded all on her own. Her physical condition is abysmal on the best of days. Her chances of making it out of the building are a lot higher with someone else here to lend a hand. ]

If we can both walk, we should get going. There's no telling how much the integrity of the building has been damaged.

[ Wilderness survival is easy, she already does it semi-daily. She is weary of others, but empathetic enough to help someone from dying, don't expect much thought.

8-Battle Royale in RGN, Fighting may be tricky, she's subpar, and being part of a weak species will place her at a disadvantage. Won't be able to hide until it's over in something like this, some dirty tricks may be needed. ]

Short version- Kafka is a blue-collar kaiju corpse cleaner who has mysteriously started turning into a kaiju himself. Now trying to live his dream as a kaiju killer.

Assumed CR, positive or negative, is encouraged!

A world overrun by monsters is a fun option.

[ More interested in the CR-building aspect of being stuck in a high tension situation than playing super action-y scenes! ]

[ ota -- up for playing out action and cr driven tension and stakes above all. he will be committed to tending to and protecting your character unless they're at odds with one another, which i am also fine with! survival is his middle name and while he isn't the friendliest, he is dedicated and dutybound in spite of his harsh modes of operation.

if you're wanting to lean into a shipping angle, 18+ please. but otherwise, this will definitely have gen overtones. ]
