The Darkest Timeline. 

Pick a point in your character's timeline.  What choice did they make? What choice did others make that would have changed their world?  Decide that choice, change it and go from there.  Tag others to join in on the fun.  The darker the new timeline, the better!

((It's been awhile, but as I recall "Guided Missile" had XANA aiming the missile at the factory. I still do like the idea of Yumi and Jeremie as the only survivors and unable to stop as XANA takes over, but I'm open to anything.))

[Jeremy winces in pain as his right arm is jostled too much. Really, he shouldn't have survived that crash. It had been a miracle that he had.]

[Only problem is that his body's trashed. He can barely move on his own and definitely not without intense pain. A soft moan escapes his lips as he tries to move the offending arm back into its previous place, but even that much movement is like shoving knives into his own flesh.]

[None of them should have survived, really. Ulrich, Odd, and Aelita probably didn't.

But Yumi's just one of the lucky ones, not that it means anything. Sure, she was sheltered by the rubble that somehow missed her, but she didn't get anything but the chance to see XANA take over.

...Unless...

This was where the plane went down, right? She can only hope she's at the right place as she calls out to him.]

Jeremie? Jeremie?!

[pseudotimelord]

[He whimpers in response before managing to get out a shaky call.]

Yumi...?

Jeremie? Hang on!

[She runs now to where she thinks she's heard his voice. She'll dig him out of rubble if she has to.

She spots him, or at least part of his shoe behind the debris, and rushes over.]

Jeremie! Are you OK? Can you walk?

I don't think so.

[He looks like...well...that he's been in a plane crash. There's a lot of blood, and he's pretty banged up.]

I can't feel my left foot.

[Yumi can feel panic bubbling up in her throat but she swallows it down as best she can.]

OK...I'm going to try to carry you out of here. If it hurts, tell me but we've got to get somewhere safe.

That's gonna be hard. Everything hurts.

[He winces and looks back up at her. Everything's blurry and cracked because his glasses are a mess.]

[Yumi sucks in breath as she sees how hurt he is. There has to be a way to get him out of here...]

I have an idea! I'll be right back.

[She jumps up and runs off, only to return 15 minutes later with a length of torn up carpet tied to wires that were severed in the crash.]

Here, climb on this and I'll pull you out of here.

[He survived a jet crash, Yumi.]

I'll be here.

[Fifteen minutes is torturous. He lies there and is trying not to panic. Yumi will come back. Of course she will.]

[He's still relieved when she does return.]

[He whimpers as he uses his better arm to drag himself onto the carpet. Check out that blood smear he's creating. Awesome, huh? He finally just flops onto the carpet.]
