What do you notice?

How much of it would you say is put on, then?

I don’t deceive people with it. I do genuinely prefer to get along when I can. But I’d say it’s been a useful tool in the box when needed as well.

I still have my way with crowds. It’s a…natural talent, enhanced by my training.

Is it pure charisma or is there something else that grants you this sway over the populace?

Charisma is most of it. The fact that there was a prophecy that was interpreted as being about me helped.

I started believing it myself. That was a mistake.
