The BLIND DATE Meme
The Blind Date meme. Pretty self-explanatory. No matter how awkward and unexpected they might be, there is always something exciting about them. Who is your company for the evening going to be? Will it be a person of your innermost dreams or someone you absolutely can't stand? And most importantly...
How are you going to handle it?
What do:
1. Post with your character! They're now in the middle of a blind date.
2. Comment to each other! When you do that...
3. Go to Random.org and roll a single die!
1.4. Play out the date. This meme can be completely fluffy, smutty, or hilarious. If you don't want smut, you can put that in your subject. It doesn't even have to be romantic.First date-- You've never been out on a date before, so someone's decided to give you a helping hand.
2.On the rebound-- You're recovering from a painful breakup, but your friends/family think they found a great person for you anyway.
3.Not strangers at all-- Someone thought you didn't know your date. Turns out you know them from somewhere.
4.Hideously awkward-- Hey wait, that's your ex/boss/doctor/distant family member! Or, even worse, it's that person you absolutely despise. This will go well!
5.Existing partner-- You two are just acting like strangers to spice up your love life.
6.Future spouse-- Unfortunately, you have to have an arranged marriage. Fortunately, you get to meet that special someone for a date beforehand. How will the night go?
7. ...or, instead of rolling, come up with your own scenario!
Locations
1. Restaurant. What better way to spend some romantic time than over food? Maybe you're at the fancy restaurant in town, or maybe you just couldn't afford anything nice, so you're at the nearest diner. Or maybe somewhere in between?
2. Games. The two of you are playing a game somewhere! You could be at a bowling alley, an arcade, a miniature golf course...the possibilities here are countless.
3. The Park. Of course, Mother Nature can provide an excellent atmosphere for romantic bonding! Perhaps you're taking a leisurely stroll through the lush grounds, or maybe you've laid out a blanket somewhere so the two of you could have a picnic.
4. Movie Theater. Or maybe the two of you are sitting next to each other in a dark room, sharing a bucket of popcorn while you're watching the latest film. Did you opt for a horror flick to keep your significant other latched to your arm -- or for you to latch to theirs -- or perhaps something they enjoy, like a sappy romance film or a cheesy action flick? Or maybe you compromised and went to see a sweet romantic comedy.
5. Skating. It's always nice to go skating, right? Are you at a roller skating rink, or did you find a frozen lake and decide to go ice skating? Which one of you needs help (you know at least one of you does)?
6. Beach. Ahh, the beach! Go ahead and set up camp wherever you like! Or if you don't watn to lay down and catch a tan, you can go swimming, or take a walk along the shore! Or if you don't want getting sand on your feet or in your shoes, go hit up the boardwalk!
7. Sunday Drive. Sometimes you don't really have a destination in mind. Sometimes you just want to drive and enjoy the scenery. Well, here's your chance to do that!
8. Amusement Park. There's plenty to do here! Take your date on the Ferris wheel, or the tunnel of love...or something more thrilling, like a roller coaster! Walk around with cotton candy!
9. Dance/Ball. School dance? Prom? Business gala? Whatever it is, you're there, and you've got a date.
10. Wild Card. Your choice! Feel free to pick something that's not here.

The restaurant was on the higher end of classiness, which told Dion that his blind date was likely a noble. He didn't mind that, but most of young lords that he could have been set up with didn't put any time in the military. And Dion found had a hard time connecting with someone who didn't have that experince or something similar.
He leaned back in his seat and played with the purple wyvern's tail that he was wearing in his lapel. He was told to wear it to let his date know who he was, as they made clear his date didn't know his identity either.
He was a little anxious, not used to being in a position like this. He allowed himself of the luxury of a sigh and forced himself to relax. At the very least, they'd have a nice meal.

The restaurant is classy as expected. Unsurprising but perhaps not encouraging. His brother did not say enough, but Joshua could understand the subtle hints of approval, the subtle suggestion that he would like this person. His trust in Clive is immense, unerring, but… he finds himself skeptical here. Clive took over a decade to acknowledge his own feelings.
He is tardy. Only by a handful of minutes and only because of Jote’s perseverance in his protection. He finds his way inside and among the tables set picturesque, he sees the splash of purple and it gives him pause. He understands very clearly he was being teased by this hint. The young man seated at the table is handsome. (Gods, handsome beyond words.) And also, somehow, still very familiar. All the years between now and their last meeting has not completely hidden the child Joshua had briefly but fondly known.
“Forgive my tardiness,” he begins, interrupting any wondering his arranged date may have. He can’t hold back a small, but hoepful smile as his hand settles on the back of the empty chair, his gaze carefully observing Dion. “I believe I’m to be your date for this evening.”
