Jaskier has only been here at Kaer Morhen for a short time but he can already tell that something bad happened prior to his arrival. He doesn’t know what - it’s not like Geralt ever talks to him about anything - but he knows that it had affected the other witchers in this place deeply. And that it has something to do with Eskel.

He’d met Eskel once before, during one of the times that he and Geralt split for a few months before rejoining each other on the Path. They’d shared an ale, Jaskier begged stories from him, and they’d then gone their separate ways. He remembers Eskel being a nice enough fellow, so he’s not sure why some of the witchers here are avoiding him. Especially since he’s very clearly recovering from a rather serious injury. He’s spent enough time with Geralt to know that witchers heal quickly, and Eskel is taking some time to recover.

No matter. Jaskier doesn’t have anything else to do while he waits to find out what the next move is, so he’s currently nringing some soup and bread to Eskel’s room. He doesn’t currently have a lute, and there’s only so far he can get with his songs without one, so he’s making sure that he’s being useful in other ways.

“Eskel, my dear witcher. I’ve brought you some lunch if you are so inclined,” he announces before stepping into the room. “I assume you must be bored, or hungry, or both. Perhaps I can offer some entertainment while I’m here.”

[It had been a long day, Kaguya had wound herself up over some minor incident with the council president and it had taken hours to stop her spiraling. Ai probably could have managed it but the dreaded subject F had shown up to complicate matters.

Now her mistress was finally asleep, and Ai decided she deserved a little tenderness, which is why she was currently wandering down the hall of the staff quarters. Finding the door she was looking for she knocked softly before calling out.]

Are you up? It’s Ai, I’d…I’d like to see you.

[He didn't imagine the antics of some high schoolers would cause a lot of stress. Oh how he underestimated Kaguya's life. When Ai wasn't being used to spy on people, Hei had been called in. It was how he knew about the amount of stress she had to deal with on a daily basis, and could sympathize. Still better than dealing with his previous occupation however.

And they did have a way of working things out, even if it had to be kept away from their employers. He opened the door the moment he heard Ai's voice, and moved aside to let her in, offering a more genuine smile rather than the fake one he tended to wear around most people here.]

[Ai smiled back at him, a light flush crossing her cheeks. She still wasn’t entirely used to someone wanting her given that she’d spent most of her life trying to blend in. She leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek before crossing the room to sit on his bed.]

I won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say I could use something to help me relax.

[As she said the word relax, Ai pulled the ribbon of her uniform off, giving Hei a hint of just what she had in mind. Not that he needed it.]

As he turned around and closed the door, he walked towards Ai, unbuttoned his own shirt. This did seem a bit common. Maybe they could gain solace on occasion with just resting near each other on the bed, but at this hour, their need for the physical seemed to spike.]

Then let's do our best to relieve this stress together. I honestly need this as well.
