No... I'm not much of a killer, it turns out. [ Plus, Sylar is as hard to kill as she is, if not harder. She almost sounds disappointed. ]

[ It comes off as though he's speaking from experience (and he is), but he quickly follows up, fearing the reveal of having done something that most people consider heinous. He doesn't want to put her off, and there's so much more to him than something he'd been forced to do. Admitting murder usually removes any chance to explain the 'why' or 'how', though. Understandably, most people would prefer to cut ties than wait around for clarification. ]

I'm sure it's hard to live with, y'know? The aftermath or whatever. As much as you hated him, what if takin' him out ended up hurting you worse? What if it wasn't worth it in the end, y'know?

Almost killing someone is hard, even if I try to tell myself the guy deserved it.

[ She realizes belatedly that she's now talking about two different guys, then sighs. ] I've known some really awful people.

But yeah, I don't know if killing them would make me feel worse in the end, if I wouldn't feel like I ended up on their level. Even if I do it to protect others from being hurt.

I guess it's easier to joke about spanking than face the moral dilemma.

Yeah, that's something that holds me back. You really can't undo murder. Permanent solutions to temporary problems and all.
