THE TOXIC MEME When things aren't sunshine and rainbows, sometimes they can be a little toxic... or lot toxic, depending on who you ask.
Everyone says you deserve someone better, someone who treats you right, but there's just something about this person that keeps drawing you in. Whether it's the way they tell you that you're the only one for them, or the way they hide your keys so you can't escape, there's always one reason or another that you find it impossible to leave.
- Comment with your character and preferences.
- Reply to people you're interested in playing with and decide on a scenario.
- Get toxic!
- stalking - No matter how many times you tell them to leave you alone, you always feel a presence over your shoulder... Was that a knock at the door? At this hour?
- fight - Verbal, emotional, physical. No holds barred.
- apology - The kind of sorry that places the blame on you. You know the one. I'm sorry that you feel that way, but...
- make up - They already said they're sorry. What more will it take?
- gaslight - What are you talking about? They never said those things! You must have dreamt it.
- insecurities - Remember that thing that you feel awful and insecure about? They sure do, and they're here to remind you of it.
- silence - They're giving you the silent treatment, and you'd do just about anything to end back up in their good graces.
- possessive - They need to know where you are at all times. No one else can be near you.
- trapped - You can't leave. They've locked the doors and thrown away the key. Of course, it's just because they love you so much that they can't stand to let you out of their sight.
- gatekeep - Why don't I do that for you? The less you do, the better. You wouldn't understand, anyhow.
- lies - Secrets, lies, things they aren't telling you. You're bound to find out one way or another.
- bad guy - They're always making you the bad guy. You don't want to be the bad guy, but somehow you're always thrust into this roll.
- lovebomb - When it's good, it's great. They shower you with compliments, gifts, hugs, kisses. Almost makes you forget the bad times.
- know your place - In case you needed reminding of how little you are to them, allow them to make it clear. You are nothing. They are everything.
- eggshells - Tip-toeing around an issue because you know it'll lead to a fight.
- torture - You've pushed them to the edge and now you have to see that they mean business.
- kicked out - After one too many spats, they've come to realize that they don't need you. Get out. Get out, now.
- hate sex - It had to be here. Somewhere between the yelling and the throwing, their had to be a moment for a sloppy make-out. They just get you so heated.
- shouting match - Whoever's the loudest is the winner.

As a canonically toxic person and Bond supervillain from outer space, Tilda's methods will err less toward the physical and more toward mental and emotional. Violence is a last resort for her so torture or a physical fight are not likely. She's a freak so hate sex is a fave. Lovebombing, gaslight gatekeep (girlbossing,) positive reinforcement methods, excessive gifts and withholding of information or subjecting a target to abrupt isolation are favorites for her as well. Willing to discuss most options. Pref for 20+ characters. OCs, aus, canon, crosscanon/crossmedium welcome.

When the door opens she was expecting someone else and her breath catches in her throat when she realizes that it's him. As she recalls, Minshan did mention that she might expect a visit but that was a while ago. There's a strange mix of relief and dread as she stands there frozen before she shakes it off to bow respectfully. She wonders why he came to see her personally this time. ]

His allies are few and far between at present and every good leader has need of select individuals willing to dirty their hands for them on the off chance they need matters to be handled with subtlety and discretion. Now that Jin Guangyao has finally succeeded his father, he has a need to acquire such a private workforce for himself separate from the sect disciples.
If the woman can be salvaged, she'll be kept. If not, she'll be killed. To him, it's as simple as that.
However, no such trace of this inner coldness or ruthless calculation shows on Jin Guangyao's face as he enters the room with his ever-present slight smile on his lips, a a tray full of delectable looking fruit slices and jars of wine in his hands.]
I apologize for the long wait. I hope my associate has been attending well to your comfort during your stay.
[His tone is perfectly cordial and conversational, as if he were conducting an official private meeting with a guest in Lanling and had run into a minor delay along his way.]

I have no complaints. My needs are met. I realize you aren't obligated to provide as much as you have for me.

I'm glad to hear it. I would be rather cross with your caretaker for not taking his job seriously enough.
[More like dissappointed than angry, honestly. After all, this girl was a stranger and an inconvenient one at that. She meant nothing to him and her life held little value to him compared to that of his good friend. However, there'd been a time when Su Minshan had meant about as much to him as this girl did now. He's not heartless and there's still a chance for the young woman to turn this situation around, a chance for her to persuade him to allow her to live and spare them both the hassle of cleaning up another murder.
And maybe there's a part of Jin Guangyao, deep down, that wants that. too. They're both here after all. He places the tray down in front of her. It's just the food without utensils of any kind, nothing that could potentially be used as a weapon to harm him aside from the tray itself. Whether allowing the woman to have a tray at all was an oversight on Jin Guangyao's part or a test to see what she does has yet to be seen.]
Eat your fill. If you're still hungry afterward, there's more where this came from.

That was good. Thank you. Are we going to talk about when you're letting me out of here now?

So for now, he'll stall and observe, putting off his decision just a little longer.]
Not yet. Negotiations weigh heavily on a full stomach. Why not go for a walk, stretch your legs, and give yourself time to digest the meal first? We can use that time to get to know each other a little first. That way you will have more bargaining chips to bring to the table.
[Because right now, she doesn't have any is the underlying message. And even he's unlikely to allow her to learn much about him at this stage, it would certainly benefit him to learn more about her directly without the filter of a third party's reports.]

We can do that. I like to stay active.
