Open 24-hours, in large cities Wal-Mart is a place people show up to shop mindlessly for anything they need. In small towns, it may be literally the only business open after 10pm, making it an unlikely hang-out for locals.

Regardless of where it's located, Wal-Mart always seems to have the strange effect of making time crawl, as the aisles stretch on into infinity, and the tinny in-store music plays on a loop.

Her cart is full of snacks and a few random household goods. She's just moved to this city, but she's still shopping light. ]

It should be the law that all Walmarts are set up the same way so I can find stuff.

[ With his schedule, this is often the only place open, and some nights he can be found lurking the aisles for nothing in particular. ]

[It's a fucking weird hour of night, but Angel doesn't sleep anyway. He's new to this area, and doesn't know if he plans to stay or not, yet. What he does know is that there's a weird liminality to places like this, especially when they're not quite open.

Currently, he's examining camping supplies. He's spent a couple weeks riding the trains, lurking in cities, and has a hankering for getting away from crowds and cars and such. So, sleeping bag and tent, perhaps.

When he notices Second, his gaze lingers. Something ain't quite right, there...]

[ Second is just wandering through, his thoughts humming so incessantly they're almost background noise; sometimes he stops to wonder if he's thinking at all. But, no, he is, because something about a Coleman lantern triggers a faint, wriggling memory of someone - Bellamy's brother? - shrieking as he lit the lamp with the propane turned up too far to start, harmless but alarming --

And then he notices death. Sort of. The same kind of death that follows him and the other Hands like a tone only they can hear. He looks up, expecting Fourth, about to crack a joke, but as he does -- that's not who he sees.

Just as suddenly, Second disappears in a swirl of dark smoke, but he doesn't go far. Just an aisle away, just to get his bearings, because who in the hell. ]

[Angel sees the swirl of smoke. Angel sees the smoke and feels the pulse of power on display and he's immediately confused and a little scared, himself. Strange magic isn't always friendly to him. Honestly, one thought that comes to him is that they're in the camping aisle. Utility knives and such are nearby, if he needs to defend himself.

He fucking hopes he doesn't have to defend himself. Not here. Not in public, in a place with security cameras and other witnesses who might ask questions. No, he'd rather...shit, he'd almost rather try to talk it out, but the other...person? disappeared on him. Warily, he moves to put his back against the shelf.]

Fuck.

[Rude? Maybe, but he doesn't have a better word for the occurrence, yet.]
