[ She wasn't aware that she was holding her breath a little, waiting for him to answer. At first, she's nervous that he's thinking of the best, most polite way to turn her down... after all, he's taking a little while to answer. But upon reflection and looking at his face, it's as though she can see the cogs turning as he works out exactly what Mitsuru is asking him.

Yeah, he could be dense but also she didn't exactly word it that smoothly. Also she did kind of spring it on him while they're both naked in her bed.

When he says yes... well, it's a relief. But oh god, the beef bowls. With or without extra protein added? ]

Perhaps save the beef bowls until the fourth or fifth date...

Apparently that's a safer point to reveal some of your quirks and oddities to the other person. They can then make an informed decision as to whether or not you're too strange for them to keep around.

What can I say? I like to be prepared.

[ Always. And it could definitely be too weird. But, likewise, kissing Akihiko, and doing... this with him, after knowing him so long, that all could have been too weird too. It just... wasn't. And they've kept doing this since. Like him, Mitsuru hopes for the more optimistic prospect: that it'll be just the beginning of something between them.

She doesn't have long to think about it though, because then he's leaning in to kiss her again. ]

Her return of his kiss will gradually move from gentle and tender to something a little more insistent again, communicating her desires to him; for more, for him, her tongue brushing lightly against his lips. The fingers of one hand move from tracing the hard lines of his jaw, to the back of his head, running through his hair while she lies back, encouraging him on top of her once more. Like before, except maybe she wants him to stay there this time. ]
