🎆 july word association 🍦

Word Association is a common word game involving an exchange of words that are associated together. The game is based on the noun phrase word association, meaning "stimulation of an associative pattern by a word" or "the connection and production of other words in response to a given word, done spontaneously as a game, creative technique, or in a psychiatric evaluation." ~ our lord and saviour wikipedia GUIDELINES
② include a word of your choice and optionally the definition in the body of your comment. -- visit the random word generator if you need help! ③ other characters will reply with the first word their character associates with the one you chose. ④ continue back and forth until one of you just has to know the story behind an answer. |

You don't like dessert?

[Women had the strangest lines in their lives.]

[ Women are complicated, my dude. Don't try to make them make sense, you'll break that fabulous brain. ]
I don't particularly like dragons, but they are gorgeous creatures. Seeing one is breathtaking.

[Baghra had made desserts not worth the hassle well back when he'd been young and it had just stuck. Ivan had Fedyor to insist on him partaking of sweets. Darkling had no one.]
Ah, well. In terms of just the viewing of it, I suppose your zeal makes more sense.

[ Meet your new dessert specialist, General sir. Leah has a notorious sweet tooth and will happily point all the best, and easiest to eat. It'll be fabulous. ]
You're too kind. However, every so often, one of them does become a nuisance; burning villages, eating travelers, that sort of thing. So, it's either neutralize or relocate. And they're terribly difficult to persuade.

[Maybe he was a little done with the ladies of wealth that he had to entertain via the Queen and her court when she opted to call him for some nonsense. Desserts were women things.]
Perhaps people shouldn't live in such close proximity to where dragons nest.
no subject
[ My, someone is a touch jaded and bitter. All women aren't empty-headed simpletons wrapped in pretty packages. General. ]
They don't. But there's damn-all to eat where dragons do nest, so the female has to hunt to feed her brood. Once she finds a decent hunting ground, she tends to keep visiting it. Baby dragons have voracious appetites.
[ An eyebrow goes up. ]
A nuance I'm sure you're familiar with.
no subject
[No. Just the ones that wear perfume and layers of clothing and demand the attentions of a Tailor to keep them looking younger than they are.
He arched a brow at her.]
Do tell me what it is about me that gives you the notion that I and a female dragon with a brood are at all similar so I can desist in doing it.
no subject
[ Well, that's just...stupid. Perfume makes the eyes water and the nose sneeze, layers of clothing get caught in blades and other weapons, and being young...isn't all it's cracked up to be. ]
You seem a busy man with a chaotic schedule. No doubt one to handle every single emergency or even minuscule decision that comes around. You say you hardly have time to eat, so it's a fair bet that you hardly sleep, either.
[ Watch her cross her arms and toss a Look right back. ]
Twenty points to me if I'm correct. Sir.

[And yet, they were still conversing. Clearly the Fold had not exploded further and Ravka was not currently under attack. He had a moment. And it was annoying that she, this woman who didn't know him, guessed aptly.]
What do you intend to do with these... points?
no subject
[ Not unlike the Grisha, ironically enough. And no, she doesn't know much, but she knows enough. Because, again ironically, she has the very same symptoms. ]
Remind you that I have them during our next conversation. So you'll have to be cleverer to catch up.
no subject
[Presumptive, this little thing. And much more familiar to him than even those closest to him who may claim the right to do so would be.]
There are no points, and I'll catch up to nothing.
[Was he starting to brood? Possibly.]
no subject
[ Yes, being dangerously observant is a survival skill; she's had to learn it rather quickly. And bite your tongue on that "little", General sir. Not everyone can tower over the rest of the population like a sycamore. ]
Ha. So I was right.
