My father is more... set in his ways. He'd prefer if I served Hell more directly, as an incubus. Before everything fell apart, I'd remember us being an lovable normal family. Mom looking after the home, teaching me how to read. While my father brought home bread and gold while teaching me how to chop wood. Such things.

I'm not sure my mom would be agreeing with the idea of overthrowing Heaven just to free her. My father would delight in it though.

She has a big heart and always try to see things in the best of light. Most archangels I've met are more... serious. More warriors than guides. It might be why she was singled out. A weak link in the defense of Heaven.

God? Which one. [He rolls his eyes.] There's Helias the Shield, Etira the Brightspark, Ozteg the Sky-Father, Titiana the Judge, Waldhar the Unbroken, Elea the Blooming Flower, Sacagawea the Traveller, Iskall the Fallen, Valdis the Pale Lady, Corne the Hidden Dagger, Lady Nier the Macabre, Gammon the Grey and Sylvus the Plague-master. In no particular order.

I wasn't there when the decision was made. But if I'd guess; the other six Archangels and Titiana probably made the decision to punish my mother.

All of them, then. They all let it happen.

About half of them don't give a damn about the going ons of Heaven, nor do they really have a say in it. Just like your "Satan" probably can't affect the decision of your Heaven. Every god has their own responsibilities and concerns. Many doesn't even live in Heaven but has their own realms in the Great Beyond.

My mother did tell me that both Etira and Elea opposed the decision. But they were overruled.

If I seem contemptuous, it's because we have a God that is supposedly omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent - and yet there's so much fucked up shit everywhere you look. It's laughable, really.

Maybe someday your parents will be free to live their lives with you. Who knows?

Yeah, our gods makes similair claims. But there are many of them, with various agendas. It's a game of strategy. I don't pretend to understand it, nor do I think any one god is the solution to everything. I believe that when bad things happen, it's because one of the gods poked around where they shouldn't have. That's what I believe anyway.

Probably the gods... but if they do, they ain't telling.
