[SO his canon has other worlds/etc mentioned so Mantis could've just wound up on his planet, or we could au her in somehow in a way that amuses you. (It's basically Fantasy with some tech here and there)

options i'm trash for or mix well with her canon:

• If you haven’t met your soulmate but have been in the same vicinity of each other (like passing each other on a street or in the same building), that day will keep repeating until you find each other.
• Whenever you lose an item (like a sock), it ends up in your soulmates’ possession somehow.
• See colour for the first time when you meet, fades away when they die.
• Soulmates share the same afterlife.
• Meet soulmate in dreams every night (with the ability to interact).

m/f preferred for shippy soulmateness, but open to f/f with certain cr. i'm also here for platonic soulmates??? and would love other fantasy/mythology types. open to crosscanon, ocs, all the aus! ]

[ Every night, the same dream. The same starting point. A river, fog, water that doesn't eat at the hems of her skirt, she steps out of a boat that is going nowhere and the other woman waits on the riverbank, also untouched by the elements. She is a haunting sight, as always, beautiful but eerie in the manner of ethereal things. For how long Germaine has been coming here, she doesn't know, dreams do not tell such secrets, but they have met enough times that she is rightfully wondering why she hasn't yet been told the other woman's name. They're strangers to each other still, but perhaps they were never truly strangers at all.

She greets her dream companion the same way every night as well, not certain she would ever want a different answer than what she gets. ]

[ • Each person has a spirit animal that can lead you to your soulmate.
• Your soulmate leaves colored footprints only visible to you.
• Each year at a certain age, soulmates are paired together into some sort of battle royal thing.
• A touch from your soulmate will leave an imprint there (like a different coloured area on your skin, or a symbol, or name).
• A certain time frame began to loop, and the only way for it to stop is to find your soulmate. ]

( A few of the randomized prompts that I liked:

[ tl;dr heiress of a criminal and supernatural info network. deals with ghosts/demons a lot. through an eldtrich being as a grandmother, she is technically the moon (a vessel of it at least). very much trying to keep her calm while juggling all of this.

also some prompts that fit or i just think are neat:
• Reflecting in the mirrors is the appearance of your soulmate
• Unique song imprinted in your mind that only you and your soulmate knows
• At the corner of your eye, you can see a blurry vision of whatever your soulmate is doing (like sitting down drinking coffee in your living room, even though they’re doing this in another area)
• Soulmates can communicate with each other in a language only they understand.
• The outline of your shadow is your soulmate. ]

((There is every chance that he will act like he can't see the soulmate 'sign' because his self worth is awful and he doesn't think someone should be 'stuck' with him))

((There's two angles of reaction we can play with Blitzø here! Either he's mortified/in denial and extremely avoidant of the subject in all ways, or he's EXTREMELY attached and has to learn his new partner's boundaries!

I'll be aiming more for the comedy angle but drama might also be a Thing!))

3. a timer implant counts down until the moment you meet your soulmate; it only starts counting once your soulmate also has their implant

[ happy to work with the popular fandom interpretation that zelda reincarnates every game, but some rolls i made that you can use if you like:

* You can feel a tug from wherever your soulmate is. These may either be automatic, or have stronger tugs whenever your soulmate is in distress.
* You have this limited stack of sticky notes. Write whatever you want on it, and that note would magically appear somewhere in your soulmate’s line of sight during that day.
* Instead of removing flower petals for “loves me, loves me not” the flower petals dictate whether you’ll meet in this lifetime (“meet me, meet me not”) and it’s forever accurate.
* Something fills up before meeting your soulmate, like a heart ink tattoo getting coloured in or a bottle filling up with liquid/sand/origami stars/etc. The moment it is full is the moment you meet your soulmate.
* Songs sung by your soulmate get stuck in your head.
* There’s this special video game where your partner is your soulmate. You only get to meet if the two of you finish the game.
