It's Soju, a type of rice wine. It's very popular in Korea.

[He says and then lifts an eyebrow at Jason.]

Are you going to pace around the hotel all evening?

Rice wine. It's so sweet.

[Not a complaint, he likes sweet.

He glances around the room, then at Nate, giving him a small shrug. In Nate's arms he felt calm, now he feels untethered. He's not in a place to seek out that comfort though, not on his own. Especially not after today.]

Just until I'm drunk enough not to.

Are you going to tell me why you need to get drunk or do I have to guess?

[He furrows his eyebrows a little at the way Nate says that- his tone. He doesn't know if he wants to have this particular conversation in this kind of way.]

Why are you asking me like that? What are you angry at me for?

I'm not angry, I'm just trying to figure out if this is something I should be prompting you about or leaving you alone.

[Nate explains mildly.]

Leaving me alone? What's that supposed to mean?

[That strikes him hard for no real reason, but that's definitely the headspace he's in right now. Doesn't help that this soju is exactly what he was hoping for-- it's damn strong.]

Leaving you alone as in not pushing you to talk about the things that are obviously bothering you.

[Has Nate figured it out yet? Jason's clearly floundering here.]

It's fine. I'm fine. I probably should've just gone back to my place tonight.

[Nate leans back into the couch, stretching out slowly like a large cat as he smiles at Jason.]

And leave me here all by my lonesome to drink all this Soju?
Come here.

[ It's not the reaction he was expecting- which is probably a good thing. It shocks him into chilling the fuck out a little, his gaze sliding up to Nate's.

He's still quite, but he snags two more of the Soju and comes over, setting them down on the table before he sits. On the edge of the couch. ]

Sorry.

[He says and pats his lap.]

[Jason watches Nate's face once again, but this time he moves closer, getting up and climbing into Nate's lap, straddling it so he can face him.]

[A slow smile spreads itself across Nate's lips as Jason straddles him and he wraps his strong arms around the younger man, pulling him in for a tender and long kiss.]

[Jason lets out a soft breath when Nate's arms go around him once again. He moves in against Nate, arms sliding up his chest and into his hair as he kisses back fully and deeply.

His whole body shudders as it releases the pent up tension he's been letting coil inside of him, and his fingers curl just a little tighter in Nate's hair.]

[He can feel the tension slowly leave Jason's body and keeps kissing him well after it seems to be gone, pulling back eventually to nuzzle at his neck.]

Mmn.

[Nate holding on to him so tightly centers him, makes him feel less scattered. The kiss fills him with everything else he needs. A reminder that he's okay here. That he deserves good things, good people like Nate. He doesn't have to be alone.

He lets himself get lost in the kiss, in how Nate feels, until the wounds inside of him don't feel as gaping.

When their lips part, Jason drops his head down to the crook of Nate's neck, nodding at his words.]

Yeah. Much better.

[One of Nate's hands starts to slowly rub up and down on Jason's back.]

Would you like to talk about what's bothering you or shall I distract you further?

[He says as he places a kiss on Jason's neck.]

[ He wants to keep going. He wants all the distractions in the world. But that isn't going to change things and in the end this will still be weighing heavily on his mind.

He soaks in those last few kisses to his neck before he lifts his head to look at Nate once again. ]

Bruce is back.

Dick called me this morning to tell me he just appeared there... came back home. Back to the Manor. He wanted to know if I wanted to come see him. Talk to him.

[Nate knew that Bruce would be back eventually, the man can never fully stay away from Gotham but now is not the time to for gloating. Instead he keeps rubbing Jason's back and lifts a brow at him.]

Do you want to talk to him?

[ Jason lets his hands slowly trail down Nate's chest, his eyes trained on them. ]

I already did.

And how did it go?

He asked if I could ever forgive him. Wanted to know if I wanted to come back.

I told him I forgave him but that he couldn't forgive me and I couldn't go back, not after everything I've done. That life is over.

We said our goodbyes in our own kind of way.

[Nate's other brow goes up and he nods.]

That sounds like it went well then. Do you feel like you got to say everything you needed to?

[It went well. Maybe that's what it seams like on the outside. On the inside it's breaking his heart. He feels gutted.

Bruce, Robin, all of it... it meant everything to him and now it's gone. When he died, so much of it died with him.

There are tears in his eyes that he wipes away.]

I don't think there's anything more either of us can say, even if we want to.

[Nate lifts a hand to help wipe away some of Jason's tears, his fingers drifting down to caress his cheek.]
