you love spending time with your significant other. but sometimes, just "spending time" with him/her isn't enough. you need to have your hands on each other every now and then.
➝ post your character below, with your character's name and series in the subject.
➝ tag other people, using an rng with range 1-8 to roll a scenario.
➝ roll as many times as you want, play out whatever you want
one; hugging. you just want to give your loved one a warm embrace. be it out of happiness, to comfort them while they're down, or just to give them something warm to latch onto, you just want to wrap your arms around them.
two; kissing. whether it's a peck on the cheek or a deep kiss, a kiss good-bye or a romantic kiss, you find yourself compelled to kiss the other person! be as tender or as passionate as you so choose.
three; holding hands. it's a simple gesture, really -- to reach out and take someone's hand. but that one simple gesture can convey any number of sentiments. what the sentiment is, is up to you, but you find yourself reaching out to take your significant other's hand.
four; carrying. is your loved one hurt and needs a lift? do they want a piggyback ride? or do you just want to spare them the effort of walking? whatever the reason, you're now itching to pick up your partner and carry them to their destination.
five; i love you. you've said it before or maybe you haven't but now you have to say it again or for the first time.
six; dancing. kick up the music, because it's time to dance! but no lone dancing allowed -- you need to have a partner! you can do whatever dance strikes your fancy. personally, i recommend the slow dance, but you can do whatever you want!
seven; massaging. did your significant other have a rough day? did they get hurt? or do you just feel like doing something really nice for them? whatever it is, you're giving them a nice massage now. they'll feel wonderful in no time!
eight; flirting. the easiest way to break the ice or maybe you're just an overly flirty person.
nine; cuddling. sometimes there's just no better feeling than curling up next to each other on a warm sofa. hold each other, lie next to each other, fall asleep on each other -- it's all good here.
ten; wild card! reroll, pick an option, or come up with something else!

[ belle reaches up to grab his hand, fingers curling around it as she smiles in return, pressing his palm against her cheek and it's as though it hits her all at once: there's nothing. no obstacles (in immediate sight), no curses, no lies and no deals and he's here. in the flesh and he isn't dead. delayed, perhaps, and she'd always been aware of the reality, but she's never been one not to let optimism shine through.
she smiles as widely as she can to force the tears back into her eyes before leaning upward, kissing him tenderly. ]
I'll keep watch. [ she laughs, because really, when has she ever not? ] We'll be fine.
and sometimes when you love a tag very much, it gets lost in your inbox...
It's her touch that makes him realize he's not in the middle of a dream. They say a lot of things about Neverland- time doesn't move, that your shadows can be ripped from your body, and that it plays with your mind, but this is no fairy trick.
If the touch wasn't enough, the kiss truly is. No sorcerer or fairy or siren or all the dark magic in all the realms could even come close to replicating Belle's kiss.]
And if I ever figure out how to put an end to that curse over the town line, we might actually get away from this little town. [He might have suggested she make the switch to mayor, but seeing her decline it has made him actually remember what she does want. And perhaps he needs to get away from it- this town, these people. Even if it's just for a bit to reassess where he stands now.] Perhaps it's high time you actually saw the world you've been trapped in for thirty years.
shh it's okay i love you anyway.
[ she says it with a smile - not quite knowing and not quite sheepish, and no, she didn't steal them. of course she didn't. hoarding them near her desk isn't near the same thing, and besides - they weren't of interest to the citizens of storybrooke. not then, at least, not when few people saw the point in learning more about a world they couldn't see (and likely didn't want to live in in the first place.
but really, why be cooped up in a small library in a small town in a small state when there's a bigger country out there? continents where everything's entirely different? cities a few hours away with buildings taller than towers? ]
What was New York like? Aside from the - [ the what? the almost dying? she trails off. leave it to her to ask the hard-hitting questions. ]

[ it's lighthearted, yes, but partially because she has an idea of the touchiness of the subject, and her expression turns sheepish, reflecting that. then again, who would she be if she didn't have a problem asking those prying questions? it's a talent, what can she say.
but then, as comfort - ]
We don't have to go back. We'll go somewhere new. When we can.

Rome, I think. Or Paris. Somewhere overseas, once I can think about being on a boat again. Places you've undoubtedly read enough about.
[Leave it to Belle to immerse herself in knowledge of this new world- she took to it surprisingly well for someone who didn't have cursed memories before the Lacey debacle.]

I'd say we'll start in Venice - if that won't be too much water.
[ hey, she gets it - whirlpools do not sound fun in the slightest. plus the conditions once he got there - and the fact that she doesn't know and she hasn't experienced it does sting. ever so slightly. it will for a while. but she was needed here. it's more important. ]
Extra recovery time, maybe.

The plane might be an issue. I swore I'd never get on one again after Manhattan, but if it's between that and sailing, I'd rather risk the metal death trap. That is a truly an adventure in itself.

[ and just like that, it's decided. she reaches over and squeezes his hand and straightens in her chair. romantic getaway plans are officially set into motion. a bit of wishful thinking now, maybe, but perhaps - not much longer - ]
I'll sit next to the window. You won't have to look down.

I should have brought you with me from the start back then.
["Back then," because it seems so long ago and what starts as just an innocuous phrase suddenly makes him nearly bite his tongue, because if he had made enough potion for two, she could have been spared a number of horrible fates. Perhaps she might have convinced Baelfire to give him a chance and he might not have died, perhaps Hook wouldn't have managed to poison him.
Or perhaps Hook could have killed her in his place in Manhattan or some other terrible fate meet her. Belle's life is a tragic series of events and a number of them happen because of him. He doesn't pay his own prices for his foolishness- other people pay them for having the gall to get close to him.]

It's - there's no use dwelling on it. We can't change what happened.
[ and it's not that she particularly likes the subject; shot and frantic and lost might all add up to something worse than lacey; at least then she'd had some sense of identity, even if it's so foreign to her now, a nightmare from months ago.
still, she reaches over to squeeze his hand. she can comfort, if necessary. ]
You needed to face it on your own. I understand. And I'm proud of you for that.
