[William smiles at his comment, briefly showing his teeth in a feral little grin.]

My thanks. I didn't think a mere text would suffice to catch your interest.

[When Sherlock steps close, William reaches over to touch his tie, his collar, finally resting a hand on his chest as he takes a long look at him. The effect is even nicer than he'd anticipated- Sherlock's piercings and other jewelry add a dark edge to the well-fitted suit. William likes it, quite a lot.

It was worth setting this all up.

Before them the music swells, and the curtains remain closed.]

Would you like a drink? There's close to a full bar in here.

"Depends. But somethin' like this certainly does,"

[His eyes linger on Liam's face while the other openly inspects him and his outfit. He likes what he can read in Liam's eyes and his expression, the silent approval in those striking red eyes, and suddenly it feels less like he's wearing a costume, but instead boosts his confidence by quite a lot.

Gaze briefly flickering to the glass in Liam's other hand.]

"Well, looks like the champagne's already open, so it shouldn't go to waste, right?"

[He can still switch to whiskey later, for now he actually starts to enjoy this fancy establishment, and whatever else it is that Liam must have planned.

He nods towards the curtains still blocking the view.]

"So tell me, am I late, or is there a reason for the privacy?"

[It's almost difficult to step away from Sherlock, the magnetism between them seeming stronger than ever, as if condensed by the size of the room.

William still manages, of course. Manners come before desire, and all that. Besides, he doesn't want Sherlock to think that sex is the only thing on his mind when it's actually racing through all the different subjects he so eagerly wants to talk to him about.

So he turns without visible effort and pours Sherlock a glass of champagne, his feet silent on the thick carpet when he returns to offer it over, along with a tap of his own glass.]

I thought we might enjoy having this room to ourselves while listening to the music. Your timing is perfectly fine.

[William takes a sip of his drink, then leans in to finally kiss Sherlock.]

[Maybe it's the clothes, maybe it's the unusual place, but the tension between them is more than obvious, even to someone as oblivious to these things as Sherlock.

When he takes the glass from Liam, their fingers brush and Sherlock lets his linger for just a moment longer, before raising his glass to his lips.]

"Cheers, Liam."

[He takes a sip, the alcohol a little too sweet on his tongue, but the sour sparkle quickly takes over.
The music swells once again, and while it's a lot more pleasurable to the ears than he expected at first, he's sure that the visuals are quite an important part of the opera as well.]

"I do like that idea, but wouldn't a record do the same trick? Why spend this much money on tickets and then not seein' the show? Though, to be fair, I can't promise I'd actually be payin' attention all the time 'n not be a little distracted by my company."

We can certainly watch the show, if you prefer. Doesn't it sound better than a record? Perhaps I wanted to spoil you a little...

[William can't resist leaning into him, wanting to feel the heat of his body from under the layers of suit. He stays like that, not pressuring him for anything more, simply taking slow sips of his drink every now and then.]

Or I can put on a different show, if you like.

"Probably does. Can't say that I listen to a lot o' Operas, so I can't exactly compare. But it's certainly a great atmosphere."

[The is a twinkle in his eyes, leaving it open if he means the ambience or Liam's company in this case.
he puts his arm lightly around Liam's waist, enjoying the moment and the champagne.]

"Is that 'nother thing to spoil me with? My my, what did I do to deserve as much?"

[William can't resist any longer. He leans his head in and noses at the line of Sherlock's jaw, quietly breathing in his scent, just for a moment.]

Do you... wish to watch, or...?

"That's another reason to wish for more o' those puzzles then,"

[Sherlock's eyes fall shut, enjoying the feeling of closeness with Liam, and he can't help but chuckle a little.
They really can't keep their fingers off of each other for too long, can't they?
There is more between them than just the physical attraction. The elaborate hunt that Liam set him on to get here speaks of it.
And yet, if given the chance of privacy it seems as if their brains long for that well deserved break.]

"Which show are ya talkin' 'bout exactly right now, hm?"

Hmm? A mere week apart and here you are, teasing me already?

[William keeps his voice low, a touch huskier than usual. He has to stay close, or else Sherlock can't hear him over the music.

Setting aside his glass, he cups a gloved palm to Sherlock's cheek, gazing over at him with those haunted eyes of his.]

Why don't you kiss me, instead?

"What, did ya think the teasin' was exclusively yours t' do?"

[Who is he kidding though, while Liam is a master in teasing in riling Sherlock up, he breaks in the moment Liam as much as bats his eyelashes.

Like right now.

He sets his own glass aside, having as much sense that he doesn't want to ruin the carpet with champagne (he probably would pay for the rest of his life to have it cleaned), and leans in, finally melting his lips against Liam's.
The thing he's been longing for all week, and even more so with every little riddle that he solved, presented by that brilliant mind in front of him.]

[William wants to laugh at Sherlock's response, but then they're kissing and the thought is wiped from his mind in a burst of warm, familiar pleasure.

He slides his arms up around Sherlock's shoulders without breaking the kiss, sighing softly into Sherlock's mouth. Behind his back William strips off his gloves, letting them fall to the floor without a care. He strokes a hand through Sherlock's low ponytail and gives it a gentle tug.

He wants to talk, feeling like he has so much to say. But instead he kisses Sherlock until he's slightly short of breath.]

[Sherlock's arms instinctively slide around Liam's slender waist, coming to rest on the small of his back without yet moving further. But he pulls the other closer, flush against him, because while he hates physical contact with anyone else, Liam can never be close enough for his taste.
One of the many, many reasons why Liam is so special.

There also aren't many things in the world that he loves feeling more than Liam's hands in his hair, be it grabbing or pulling it.

When their lungs scream for air, Sherlock pulls just enough away to be able to make out Liam's face in front of him, blue eyes shining.]

"I missed ya too,"

[He grins, licking his lips to have just a little more of that taste of Liam mixed with expensive champagne.]

[William can't help blushing as they pull apart. The music swells and the light in Sherlock's eyes, coupled with that little slip of his tongue, catches William's gaze. It gives him a sudden feeling like a piece of his heart is splintering open.]

Was I that obvious?

[He doesn't allow Sherlock time to respond, instead leaning in to kiss him again. He cups his cheeks with both hands, then slides them down the sides of his torso, feeling the suit on his body and how it fits him.

A pleased sound comes from his throat, muffled by their kiss.]

You went shopping. I hope you found a good deal.

"Or maybe I was just projectin'. But your response tells me I wasn't."

[It makes Sherlock grin a little broader, but also softer, his stomach feeling just a little lighter at the fact that Liam actually missed him too.]

"Ah ..."

[The hint of a blush that only Liam is able to cause appears on his cheeks.
He clears his throat and takes half a step back as if he needed to observe his own outfit once again. It's really not his style, but somehow he feels like he can actually make a suit work.]

"Had a little help in pickin' one. 'Cause as you observed correctly, this is a new one, 'n I didn't really have one at home. But since you wanted me to wear one .. I hope I didn't disappoint.

[The only thing he's still bothered about is the tie. He quickly tugs on it with one finger to loosen ot ever so slightly, before his hand returns to its designated spot around Liam's slender waist.]

You look quite nice, I think, and I'm very pleased my requests were honored. Give my regards to Dr. Watson for his assistance.

[William toys with Sherlock's tie, admiring how neatly it's been tied. He gives it a little tug, then, to Sherlock's possible surprise, begins to unlace it from around his neck.]

Now, you may as well be comfortable if it's just going to be you and me. Ah, you're allowed to smoke in here, by the way. I made sure to reserve a smoking room.

[Sherlock doesn't even ask, because even to people who aren't blessed with a mind as intelligent as Liam's it's pretty obvious that John is the only one who might've helped Sherlock picking outa suit.]

"Yeah, he helped a great deal. First wanted to lend one o' his suits, but they were too short in the legs 'n too tight in the shoulders, so I had to buy my own. Doubt they would've let me in without one either,"

He wanta to protest but then stops himself when Liam pulls on his tie. Who is he to complain about not wearing one, even though John had to tie that one for him. If he ever needs to wear one again, he'll just ask his flatmate again.

"Oh really? Didn't know these even still existed. Or it probably only depends on the social circles whether or not smokin's still forbidden, eh?"

[He grins at Liam and plopsa cigarette between his lips, while his fingers open the next two buttons on his shirt, finally letting him breathe again.
After one drag of his cig, holds it out for Liam, wordlessly asking.]

Money makes the world go 'round, after all.

[Instead of taking the offered cigarette in hand, William leans in to take a drag off it. He gazes up at Sherlock through his lashes as he inhales, lips brushing Sherlock's hand.

Somehow, he manages to look perfectly innocent when he straightens up and exhales the smoke in a neat cloud.]

I presume you're carrying.

[Sherlock can only smirk at the display that Liam is giving him, looking so perfectly innocent when they both know that he isn't. In so many ways clearly isn't.
And Sherlock loves everything about that.

He puts on a somewhat shocked face.]

"Oh please, Liam! Are ya implyin' that I might've brought drugs into the opera? For what kinda debauched character do ya take me for?"

[But he can't keep his face straight for very much longer and starts smirking, pulling a small leather pouch from his inside pocket that's clearly not a wallet, but instead containing some of Sherlock's drugs of choice.]

[William chuckles, and leans in to carefully sniff near the bag.]

...More kush. You're spoiling me.

[With a smile he turns his head and sniffs outright next to Sherlock's neck.]

Cologne, as well. Should I feel special?

"Weren't you the one who wanted to spoil me by doin' all o' this?"

[He grins with a shrug.]

"Was already out buyin' a suit, thought I might add somethin' fancy. Needed t' shave anyway, figured I'd use somethin' other than my usual 3 in 1 wash."

I like you, no matter what kind of soap or aftershave you use.

[William gives his throat a kiss, pausing there to feel his presence, the way his muscles move when he swallows.]

I did say I wanted to spoil you, didn't I. Here I am getting distracted.

[William guides Sherlock over to the chairs and urges him to sit, then busies himself at the bar. He fills his champagne glass and pours a whiskey on the rocks for Sherlock, knowing how his tastes run.

When he returns, however, William doesn't take the seat next to Sherlock's.

Instead, he plops down on his lap, shifting to get comfortable before offering him his glass.]

There we are. Shall we have a toast?

"Mmhm, I'll remind ya next time .."

[He leans back, offering his throat to Liam without a second thought. Instead, he hums pleasantly as he enjoys the feeling of lips moving along the thin skin right above his pulse point.]

"Oh, you're spoilin' me alright. Got nothin' to complain about so far~"

[Especially since he's free of that tie, so what else would he want?
But Liam apparently seems to know, bringing him his drink and taking his seat right in Sherlock's lap.]

"Right, a toast. How 'bout to a very sophisticated evenin'? Especially a toast to the opera, o'course."

[He grins widely, holding Liam's gaze as their glasses clink, that mischievous sparkle in his eyes ever present.]

[William can't resist a chuckle at Sherlock's proposed toast. Here they are in some of the most expensive seats in the city, and yet they're paying little attention to their surroundings, not to mention to the opera itself.

William sips delicately from his glass after their toast, giving Sherlock time to taste his own drink before moving in to kiss him.]

But of course. Were we to have an evening like the rest of the audience here, however, I fear... you'd get bored.

[Of course the whiskey is a good one. Smooth and peated as it runs down his throat, making him hum at the taste.
Everything in here is expensive, and probably worth thrice his monthly rent. Which he is barely able to pay. It's kind of funny that he of all people gets to enjoy it, and then doesn't even really gets to see anything of the actual opera.]

"Oh, ya think? Hmm, I dunno. Heard that there's often a lot o' death 'n murder in operas, so maybe I'd enjoy it after all?
"However, I can't deny that my current view's certainly a lot better than whatever's happening on stage."

[William cradles Sherlock's chin in his hand, rubbing his fingertips back and forth over the stubble on the underside of it. His touch is slightly cold.]

If I really was the Lord of Crime, you'd have more than enough murders to sate your thirst for mysteries for some time, sitting right here on your lap.

[Another drink, then William sets his glass aside and drapes his arms over Sherlock's shoulders. He drops his head and nuzzles one of Sherlock's ears, whispering in a voice too quiet to hear over the loud music from the stage.]
