love letters + shipping texts meme
- comment with your character.
- other people will reply to you.
 - your characters (in a relationship, in love, in some sort of attraction that gravitates around the other, in idk 'love' is a many-splendored thing) are commanicating via: passionate confessions written on parchment, furtive notes scrawled in code, passive-aggressive post-it notes, messages carved in trees, smoke signals, instant messages on space age computers, text messages complete with lovey-dovey pictures, whatever!
 - have fun!

paul "jesus" rovia. twd. m/m.
(on a note stuffed into doorframe in the morning)
on a note pinned to the wall next to the door in the afternoon
:)
back of the prior note, wadded up in ball, stuffed in a cup next to a bloody cutting board
got ya skunk. taste better n'they smell. promise.
UPON ARRIVING HOME AND SEEING THIS DISPLAY
Daryl? Daryl! We have running water for once, why are you leaving the blood everywhere?
[ a beat passes. ]
You can never have too many knives, especially ones that are more expendable than your precious babies, your knives. Also, I need more knives!
[ curiously, he has no commentary about the skunk. ]
no subject
Didn't leave it everywhere.
[He flipped the knife over before sheathing it and then pulled a second knife to use it as a pointer, gesturing at the lack of blood anywhere else.
He ignores the actual words said about the knives, but he's making sure they're very much in the conversation.]
no subject
then, leaning in the doorframe with one ankle crossed over the other and arms crossed loosely over his chest: ]
Fine, not everywhere. All over the cutting board.
[ he sighs after that, digging in his pocket to pull out a small object wrapped in cloth and toss it underhand to daryl, not at him. ]
Well Mr. Fancy McShowoff, I found you a new whetstone while I was out.
[ it's real goddamn rich of him to be calling anyone ELSE mr. fancy mcshowoff. ]
no subject
You trying to say I should be doing something else with the leather scraps?
[He glanced up from under his fringe as he shook the old leather belt - long made unusable for anything but sharpening, really - for emphasis before he tossed it to the side and stood. Now his eyes ran up and down Jesus' frame, looking for any obvious injuries as he opened up the gift.]
Where'd you find it? Looks new.
no subject
I hate to break it to you, but even as sturdy as leather is, it doesn't last literally forever so it's good to have a backup.
[ the other question makes him straighten though, vacating his current spot to sit down next to him. ]
Found a little place out by itself we somehow haven't seen before and it was tucked away in a drawer. I didn't have a ton of time today, but we should go back. Looked a little like a prepper's place where all the preparation in the world wasn't enough.
[ i didn't have a ton of time usually means he got interrupted and either had to kill some walkers or bail until he can get back later. ]
no subject
Tapped his fingers then pulled them back so he could start drawing the whetstone along his blade.]
Yeah? How far out? It got enough to make a day run into two or four?
[He was asking if there was enough to justify a short trip with a larger group cause there was just that much to grab, or a longer trip with just the two of them taking their time because there weren't a lot, but something might be hidden. And maybe just to have some time to themselves.]
no subject
with daryl's hand on his knee his own fingers brush along his wrist just before daryl withdraws to test the stone.
he clicks his tongue as he acts like he's thinking a second, then shrugs. ]
There's a lot of stuff tucked away in strange places as far as I could see, but not more than we can handle ourselves. We could give everybody else a little break.
[ same thought patterns confirmed. he's the one ducking his head now to hide a slight smile. ]
no subject
Sure. How long you think before it settles?
[How bad was the crowd he bailed on and how long does he think they'll linger. How long before they can leave?]
no subject
[ nothing they can't handle. they always handle it. ]
If we really want to be safe, we could go in the morning.
no subject
[Give them time to get packed for a few days and not meet up with walkers in the dark. Daylight wasn't always better, but less chance of stumbling on one that was hidden by the lack of it.]
You can cook. Meat's in the cooler.
no subject
[ as eager as he is to get out, going in the morning is the right choice.
he huffs a soft laugh and nods, squeezing daryl's knee before standing. ]
Sure, you brought home the skunk bacon after all. I'll even clean up the cutting board.
