[ Sure, maybe Claire has a certain disregard for the rules every now and then, but ultimately she wants to do good. ] I mean, I'm not a hero or anything, I just try to do what's right.

Which is proof that you are not evil. Evil rarely sees itself as such.

Often doing the right thing is easier than people assume, but it's those that do it when it causes effort that are truly righteous.

My mom used to tell me that the most important time to do the right thing is when it's the hardest to. She's right about a lot of stuff like that.

They have their vision of what is right for them, and it happens not to take the rest of the world into consideration. Evil is always selfish. It's incapable of being anything else.

Your mother is a wise woman, passing her knowledge and virtue on to her children. She is also correct in that oftentimes, it takes effort and will to do that which others walk away from.
