Red flags

Sure, you may look like a total catch, but what's the catch? Maybe everything isn't what it seems.
how to play
- forget what you think you know about memes.
- forget the traditional subject line. no prefs. no character info.
- what do you put there instead? verbalize the red flag(s) that should, in a just world, come attached to your characters. be honest. be brutal.
- with this forbidden knowledge in mind, the rest of bakerstreet has to decide whether they wouldn't touch that with a ten-foot pole or if they'd throw caution to the wind and still go for it.

Ah. I suppose, possibly.
[A gentle reminder to kick the young man on his way back.]
Were you thinking of a meat dish or something vegetarian, by the way?

...So, you're confident when it comes to preparing dumplings?

[And since the kitchen was someplace other people (like the maid that helped her care for her mother, like Kirei who would visit) would see she kept it mostly clean unlike her room.]

[Fried, one could always do a little bit more, so he was curious how she'd go about preparing it.
He hoped she'd at least have a good memory or two on that subject. At eight, he was... no, that was a blank. Static, at best. Even so, he remembered something warm about learning even if he had no idea who taught him and when.]
Do you mind if I observe? There's the possibility that I could learn a thing or two.

Is that your understanding of it? I should value the esteem you once held for me, then. Perhaps I should recant my humility and instead propose that I could learn more from your mistakes?
[Love could be considered the best sauce but he was well aware that spite was fairly potent as well.]

[He's so... so... SO...!]

THAT ICON... SHE'S TITTY HEIGHT... howareyousosmall.meme
[Is he for real right now?]
Then why didn't you just say so?
[Pot vs Kettle.]

Even if I wasn't being direct, I wasn't being dishonest either. When you cook[alone] for years, you develop habits.
Who knows? Perhaps I've forgotten something with time and you could remind me.
[Pivoting 180 degrees just to get past saying that--]

Who made the mistake of telling you that devilishness is charming? Tcch. Never mind how you'll fret and fuss under my watchful eye.

[He'll just complain. He'll complain and yap and won't shut up until she drops the whole shaker of salt into the sauce and it'll be ruined.]

A sound strategic choice, even if somewhat dishonorable.
no subject
Dishonorable? I'm not trying to beat your cooking.
[Some how she feels like that particular hill may be insurmountable, and as Tohsaka always says... no use in trying if she knows she's not going to be good at it. She'll stick with what she's talented in.]

Then, as an apology, I'll handle the clean-up. [A beat. A little stubbornness slipped past.] Maybe next time you'll let me watch.

I might slip into the kitchen for a glass to use.

I haven't the slightest idea what you mean. I dress rather modestly, Rin. [Was his undershirt painted on? Yes. The future had all kinds of handy fabrics.]
