Gods end up with many, many nicknames. I've been Loptr of the wind, and I've been mixed up with Logi of the fire so often I can claim most of his providence. I've been called Hveðrungr, Lóðurr, brother of Byleistr--who I have never met. He may live still, in Jotunheim, but I do not think he would be kindly inclined toward me.

I'm the god of mischief, of lies, of outcasts. I don't know that those count as pet names, though.

Then of course there are the more recent additions, which lack dignity, but who am I to complain? Reindeer Games, Popsicle, Lolo. Probably worse ones I haven't heard.

Maybe it's just as simple as pride in where I come from. Or tying up loose ends on the names. That way, if anyone from back home shows up, they won't be under the impression that I somehow dislike these two names.
