TYPES OF SCENES
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!
ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.

⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.
ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.

⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.

⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

A number of small mirrors line one of the walls, and they sit across from each other at a table in the center of the room facing each other. If Heathcliff looks around for long enough, he might notice that there are prisms of near-translucent color cast across the floor, almost like a faint stained-glass effect. Yi Sang flips through a few papers before unceremoniously cutting to the chase, expression and tone giving away nothing about whether he has any particular feelings about having to do this. ]
... Do you feel that you’ve been affected by recent feelings of edginess, anxiety, or nerves?
[ After asking the question, Yi Sang looks up, but keeps his gaze somewhere below direct eye contact, as if he's staring at something directly behind Heathcliff. ]

Now he's got some kind of appointment with Yi Sang, sitting in his room — which looks like a damn looney bin, mind you — and clenching and unclenching his fingers as if to make sure they really do still work after the "zweihander" (which is really just a damn sword) almost cut clean through his hands. Still preferable to a riddle session with their pretentious Miss Cleveress, but not exactly the position he wants to be in either. Particularly not with questions like these coming at him.
He raises a brow, almost incredulous that he's being asked this right now. )
Yeah, I do. You're telling me you sleep in this padded white cell, mate?
( You telling him your natural habitat is the crazyhouse? Is that what this is? But then, when Heath notices Yi Sang's gaze falling just short of meeting his eyes, he grips the back of his chair with his hand as he twists to take his own look behind him. Acting like there's something there or somesuch, and he's already high strung here, grumbling under his breath as he turns back to face Yi Sang again with his arms folded over his chest. )

[ Look at these designer eyebags... Yi Sang's tone is perfectly placid as always, but the way that he pauses afterwards suggests he thinks his reply was humorous and stopped to appreciate his own attempt at being funny before he sets his pen to paper and begins recording Heathcliff's answer. ]
... Putting that aside... could you provide an example of feeling on edge, anxious, or nervous, and how you reacted to it?
[ After reading off the questions, Yi Sang looks back up, gaze naturally drifting to the same place just behind Heathcliff's head — but then he makes a concerted effort to make eye contact instead, having sensed that his tendency to avoid looking directly at others was only making things more tense. Whether it's better or worse is up to Heathcliff's discretion, though, since his gaze is already dull as it is — but the contrast between the whiteness of the room and his eyes makes it almost seem as if his eyes are absorbing the light around him. ]
Did you feel in control of yourself? And do you find yourself involuntarily remembering the incident at times?
[ ... okay, he might be rushing through these questions a little, but to be fair? At least it's to both of their benefits. ]

Technically, the questions are for him. The way they're asked though, like some kind of checklist – and where he even got that checklist from is something to ask another time – but for now? For Heathcliff? Yi Sang's questions only give rise to more of his own. If it's an attempt to pacify any lingering anxiety, it's very well accomplishing the opposite. The way he lists off those side-effects, after all, comes off like they're talking ones that come from the Corridor specifically — and now why would he be not in control of himself!? Hold on just a minute here— )

Hell, the damn thing almost opened up its maw and swallowed him whole where he remembers up to; forget all this "assessing his psychological state" rubbish, shouldn't they be telling them if there's some kind of man-eating body-controlling thing in these halls? )

But if you don't, then I imagine a theoretical me who could peer into your mind would find that you are currently thinking to yourself something along the lines of... "That's damn suspicious." [ said without attempting a bri'ish accent, thankfully for them both. ] I would prefer to speak only words that will neither deceive nor unsettle you... but it is an unideal endeavor destined to crumble in on itself without knowing how much goodwill I may exchange at the moment.
[ The problem with wanting answers from Yi Sang isn't that he's unwilling to give them if asked. Rather, it's that he will somehow find a way to making giving them a whole journey in and of itself... ]

Now, as for the rest of it... Heathcliff's out here scrunching up his face like it's leaving a bad taste in his mouth. Trust, eh? That's a pretty loaded question to ask; certainly not one that he'd be volunteering an answer for if it was up to him. Good will though, is perhaps a little bit easier. After all, if it's a question of if he thinks Yi Sang would go out of his way to lie to him, or fuck with him on purpose...
... Kind of hard to think that way about a man who bonded with a poisoned spud, if he's honest.
So it might not be the perfectly ideal answer, but it's an honest one: )

When he's done, he places the pen down and looks back up. There's a different weight to his gaze this time, closer to but not quite the same as how he looks while fighting, shedding away some of the sense of persistent fatigue about him to reveal an aura of almost clinical confidence — something that's been built up through experience, not a natural inclination. ]
As for your second question, there are two issues. The first is pattern recognition, and the second is multiplicity. Simply put... the human brain is adept at noticing patterns, which in turn forms our sense of what is natural and normal... but it is poor at understanding large quantities. So when you entered the corridor, your mind was simultaneously overwhelmed by the fact that it could not piece together any sensible pattern of how the corridor works as well as the sheer infinitude of doors. If I could hazard a modest guess... a few moments after you entered the depths, you could not stop an instinct to panic, and in the haze of your panic, you temporarily forgot that you know how to return to the entrance.
[ There's a subtle plant of information here, in case of future emergency: If you enter the corridor again, keep in mind that you do know how to return to the entrance. He isn't supposed to disclose any details on how exactly the corridor works, but he thinks this probably shouldn't count.

Yi Sang pauses to wonder briefly if this is why he'd been asked to do this "evaluation" in the first place: he's still sentimental enough to try to do these things for others, in the hopes that they might be of some help. Then he puts it aside, because it isn't that important either way, and continues on. ]
In other words... the corridor wasn't doing anything to you. Rather, your mind was not sufficiently prepared to understand the nature of the corridor. That is, of course, through no innate fault of your own... it would be as senseless as blaming somebody who has never seen a weapon before if they accidentally harmed themselves with it while picking it up. Do you follow me so far?
[ He's trying his best to be reasonably comprehensible, although really, Yi Sang couldn't say how well he's succeeding at it. ]

Nor does he want to be a Faust apologist and say something like, "Ms. Faust has her reasons" when he can't elaborate any further than that...
Or to put it simply: he's stuck between a rock and a hard place, very unideal. ]
Ah... allow me to make a metaphor. An omnibus like Mephistopheles is primarily meant for transportation, but if somebody who doesn't know how to operate it were to sit at the steering wheel, then it could easily turn into a weapon instead. [ ... Well, it is basically a weapon as-is, but...... ] If, for example, Don Quixote were to cease the driver's seat and recklessly crash into a building, then Mr. Vergilius would not only blame Don Quixote, but all the rest of us for failing to stop her in time...
