(Normally one would expect him to not go to such lengths but he's trying to make things impressive here if he's going to be doing this right. Romance isn't usually his thing, going on the war path is however but he's not necessarily complaining about the change of pace. Beef Stroganoff, Pirozhki made with cheese and meat, then finally Okroshka. Things from his own homeland that he knew good and well in their style and differences to most conventional recipes thanks to the more harsher climate.

As new as the idea of cooking to 'flirt' and the like is on top of maybe how he set the table to be more 'date' like in this little fancy room of his.
