Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... [ a bath is a pretty rare luxury out here. and in no man's land luxuries always come with a hefty price tag, but with the beatings they've taken the past few weeks lukewarm showers just aren't cutting it. there's a lot of arguing about splurging so much on something that's not strictly *necessary*, but by the time they get inside, things have simmered down.

it's dark and cool, and there's steam rising up from the large tub in the center of the room.

vash shrugs his jacket off and folds it up, sets it on the bench near the tub. this? this isn't something he'd do with anyone else. peel the layers back, let someone get a look at the state of his body willingly - but wolfwood's seen it before, and it doesn't get any worse so, what's the harm?

he tugs the shirt over his head, folds it on top of his jacket, and once he's slid his boots and pants off he steps down into the tub, sinking down into the water and leaning back against the edge with a soft groan, spreading his arms out over it. ] ahhh jeez. that feels amazing.

[ of the two of them, wolfwood tends to be the more scruffy and much more fuzzy one. shaving is a half-assed endeavour, and wolfwood is lucky vash still thinks he's somewhat cute despite all that.

but anyway, today is one of those days where wolfwood has to wait for hours for vash to close (and he'd helped him, too), and had to almost physically wrangle him from his way-too-angry twin brother who had, just that morning, declared him persona non grata at his mcdonalds.

wolfwood went anyway, and now vash is in his apartment and wolfwood double-checks the locks to make sure nai isn't sharpening his knives on the other side of the door. it's been a long day, and wolfwood wants to spoil vash. ]
