Perhaps you were best friends who decided to make rent cheaper by living together, a couple who took the plunge and moved in together, or you could just be some random people thrown together by circumstance and really needing a place to live.

Either way, you're sharing a flat (or maybe even a room) now! What's going to happen?

Her employment to Tyrion Lannister was quite new. After demonstrating her... unique, and valuable abilities to sus out lies, and find important things (like letters with priceless information), among other skills, he made the understandable decision to acquire her services, and to keep them quiet for as long as possible.

Apparently her sharing his chambers as a servant was part of this plan. But she doesn't look like a servant; she was too exotic looking, both in her features, and in how she dressed more like a mercenary, than a maid.
