I'm a noble myself. The moral fiber of individual people isn't really at all the point. If you think of politics in those terms, you will be unable to see the world clearly.

I mean, yeah, it's an unnecessary distinction and equality's a good goal, but do you really want to go full Kalosian revolution? You don't have to kill them, plenty of them don't even do anything and never even had any real chance of ruling... especially if there's a lot of princes and princesses.

Your thinking is too rigid, too concerned with the motion of history as a fixed thing. Naturally, I do not believe in shedding any more blood than is necessary. The "death to all tyrants" business is mostly a bit of rhetorical spice, it doesn't matter who specifically loses a head, and I'm hardly even in any position to take part in any kind of revolution regardless. But by their very nature revolutions are unstable times, full of decisions made under stress in unanticipated situations. It's usually in that environment that bloodshed and reprisals happen, and I really think it's quite pointless to handwring or moralize about who the individual casualties are, especially when the masses are usually dying in far greater number. In studying the course of revolutions, generally nobody sets out with plans to get brutal, they grow afraid of potential enemies and seek to defend themselves, rather than simply being consumed by bloodlust. And I'm not sure I can fully condemn that, even if it tends to get out of hand. Pacifism gets people killed.

But no, I don't think it's desirable to send entire royal houses to the crematorium, unless in the improbable case that every single one takes to the battlefield. I oppose execution on a personal ethical level. But again. It's usually a matter of paranoia and desperation rising on a mass scale during turbulent times.

A single, slow, painful death is preferable to immortality-by-resurrection
