[Natasha really doesn't like having to break into people she knows houses, but the slash she'd taken to her shoulder in the fight was really bleeding a fair amount and the giant cut in the back of her blouse had made it all the worse to not attract attention. Her closest safe house wasn't nearly as close Steve's place.
And Steve was out of town, so it pretty much counted as okay right? Plus he was sure to at least have a first aid kit and a a shirt she could borrow.
She glances down the empty hallway of the old building and pulls her lockpick out, except she hears someone inside the apartment itself. She was pretty sure the Avengers were still off overseas but maybe she'd miss the information on their return. She shoves the lock pick back into her pocket and knocks on the door instead.]
