The Abrupt Kissing Meme

 

 

Plain and simple: your character is being kissed. Abruptly. How did this happen? Were they talking too much to the point where it was the only way to shut them up? Was someone bidding adieu or just not able to hold in their feelings? Or was this some CPR class gone bad? More importantly—how do they react?

How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well. Congratulations, your character is being kissed by whoever tags them!
→ Tag around.
→ Feel free to roll RNG (1-9) if you cannot come up with scenarios of your own.

[ loveless, loveless, loveless. she doesn't hate it, but sometimes she wonders if that's all he enjoys nowadays. that's why she decides that, even though it would be her first, to make him concentrate.

tha's why aeris extends her arm so that her fingers touch genesis' chin, then press them to make her face her. she kisses him. ]

[Ever since his reawakening, Genesis had found himself a frequent visitor to this church in Midgar's ruins. There, he had pondered the Goddess plan for him, reflecting on LOVELESS' words. During his visits, he found company in a sweet flower girl.

This was his third day of visiting the church and the girl, but he did not expect this kiss at all. But that doesn't mean he didn't like it. In fact he reciprocates, welcoming that closeness.]

[ well, isn't that a surprise, she thinks as he kisses her back. for a moment, aeris believed that the book would have been the divider between her and genesis — quite literally, with him shoving it before she could do it. she's glad he didn't.

the kiss, initially, was soft — she isn't sure quite right how a kiss on the lips goes. aeris learns more when he kisses her back; she closes her eyes and goes on, pressing just a little more to intensify it, making it last, giving it more meaning than she should. her hand stays close to his face, and, a moment later, even moves to cup his cheek. ]

[For a moment, Genesis' mind drifts to the verses in LOVELESS regarding the woman the prisoner meets-- the one who saves his life and begins a life of solitude with him. But as the kiss draws on, the thought fades from his mind and he even slowly lets go of the leather-bound book in his hand, laying it down beside the flowers.

At this moment, there was no mission from the Goddess, no fear that he may need to challenge Sephiroth once more... for now it was simply him and this flower girl who wanted him to put his book down with a kiss. His arms reach up to pull her in just a little closer.]

[bustered]

[Whoops is that Genesis? Is that his mentor's best friend, who (rumors say) got up to some... highly questionable activities with Angeal, and apparently in the presence of the Silver General himself? Zack's heard all the rumors -- thank you Kunsel -- and he's thinking maybe he should just change his destination and find somewhere else to be.

Of course that's kind of hard in an elevator, but it's the thought that counts.]

[And Genesis notices that there's a certain someone staring at him. And ooh, isn't this his best friend's student? He must have heard the rumors... which aren't really rumors. They were the truth.]

Something caught your attention, Zack the puppy?

[bustered]

[Oh, had he been staring? Oops. Way to go Fair, real smooth. Zack's eyes find the safety of the button panel, the illuminated display clicking through the floors as the metal box ascended.]

No. [And a bit belatedly:] Sir.

[recitings]

[At that, Genesis smirks.]

Have you heard the rumors regarding your mentor and I?

[bustered]

Rumors, sir?

[This is some sort of a test right? Surely Genesis isn't-- No, there's no way they're having this conversation, this is a test because this is Genesis, and the man is well known for the way he plays with others.]

[recitings]

I've been picking up a little hearsay around the building-- a little story of Angeal and I up to no good right where Sephiroth was.

Did you hear about that?

[The smirk doesn't leave Genesis' lips, and he's quite glad that their destination on the elevator would still take a bit of a while to get to.]

[bustered]

Oh?

[Zack plasters a confused look on his face. It's not hard; while he has heard the rumor, he still has no clue why Genesis should want to talk about it. With him.] Should I have, sir?

[He guesses Genesis is attractive. Sharp blue eyes, auburn hair and strongly angled features. Tall, an athletic build, and a feathered wing. All in all, a unique person and probably the only person that wouldn't kill him or be repulsed by what he was about to attempt. He hopes anyway, because he has to know one way or another, and he can't think of a more surefire way to test it]

Genesis.

[It's a casual approach with a slight wave as he comes to stand before the man. Neji glances up with the same unwavering confidence he draws on when addressing someone older or significantly taller than himself]

I need your assistance with something.

[Completely calm and unconcerned until Neji snaps out a hand to the older man's collar and swiftly drags him down into a kiss]

[For a moment, Genesis was ready to do whatever task Neji was going to assign him: look over a particular area, resonate with him to further his sight of the city, or keep an eye out on a new suspicious member of the Watch. But he didn't expect that came next-- lips that pressed against his own and a very firm grip upon his collar that brought him there.

But Genesis didn't fight back against this, instead, he decided to take it and enjoy it. After all, it had been a while since he last was kissed. He doesn't make the first move to break their connection. Instead, he encourages it just a little by reciprocating it.]

[The reaction isn't what he expects. Even if he hadn't thought Genesis would kill him or react too strongly, he never expected that he might kiss him back. Had Genesis somehow understood his intention, or was this a development he hadn't seen?

But for the sake of his experiment, he allowed the kiss to linger and carry on a little further and loosened the hand on Genesis' collar to let the older man withdraw when he wanted to. The lips moving against his were nice, he decided, nothing terribly objectionable about it and let his hand slip down to the older man's chest where the solid planes were very obviously male with none of the softness of a woman

Perhaps he really was..]

[recitings]

[Genesis indulges Neji in the kiss for a few moments, even moving a gloved hand to lightly touch his cheek, but he soon parts with a warm smile on his face.

If this was anyone else, he would have smirked as if he was victorious. But this was Neji-- a former subordinate of his that he had grown to trust greatly, especially as the new head of the Watch. Somehow, he felt flattered by what he just did. But at the same time, he was curious:]

So... what was that for?

[His question was gentle. Not demanding, merely stating his curiosity.]

[Neji steps back, clearing his throat with a faint flush. It seemed to have gone over much better than he originally expected, but the inevitable explanation is certainly still awkward. That Genesis doesn't seem angry helps at least]

Sorry, I was.. [He glances away a moment, grimacing to suppress the heat crawling up his throat, then furls his hands into his sleeves and returns his gaze to Genesis] I know enough women had caught my attention, but recently I began to wonder if I held any.. real inclinations toward men.

[It's no use, the color suffuses his expression despite his will and he swallows] We've known each other long enough that I thought perhaps you wouldn't kill me for an attempt.

[recitings]

[At that, Genesis couldn't help but laugh deeply, all too amused.]

You really are still a young one.

[Eww. That makes him sound old-- but it's pretty true. He's had a wide array of experiences over his thirty years alive.]

So, what did you think of your experience?

[heavenly_earth]

[The laugh makes his flush worsen, but he spends a minute reigning in his expression until it resembles something closer to neutrality. Genesis doesn't look too much older, but his experience is surely far more than his own]

It was nice enough. [He doesn't actually sound certain about that, but for a brief experiment, he'd discovered as much as he could've realistically hoped] I mean, I can see how you'd be considered attractive, and I didn't mind..

[Angeal has been acting avoidant lately, and he knows it's his own damn fault. He's been putting more work on himself to drown out what he knew he'd have to do. There were a million reasons why not, but the more he fought it the more insistent it became. So finally he decided to stop running from it and just get it out in the open.

Knocking on Genesis' door, Angeal patiently waited for the other to answer. The sooner he got this over and done with the better.]

[recitings]

[It takes a moment for Genesis to open his door. Possibly because he was in the middle of reading something-- and the book in his hand when he greets Angeal pretty much sealed that guess. As usual, Genesis had that slightly peeved look he wore whenever he was interrupted from something he was enjoying-- but that shouldn't discourage Angeal. The other man should know that the peeved look was just usual of Genesis and isn't indicative of his real feelings.]

What is it, Angeal?

[heavenlyhonour]

[The scowl and sour puss doesn't put Angeal off, after all he grew up alongside Genesis. He knew when the red head was truly peeved with him, and this was nothing really. And when the other locked eyes with him, Angeal shook his head. He had to get this over with.]

You got a minute?

[recitings]

Of course.

[As expected, Genesis couldn't turn his best friend away. He moves in the doorway, welcoming the other man in.]

Come in.

[heavenlyhonour]

[With a nod Angeal walked into the other's quarters and faced away from Genesis himself. And right now he'd rather be facing down a horde full of monsters because he knew how to handle those. This was different. A lot different.

He didn't know what to say or do so he basically stood there, looking at anything but turning around to look at Genesis.]

[recitings]

[There is a pause of silence as Genesis waited for his friend to speak up. When he realized that he wasn't going to say anything, he decided to make the first move.]

What's on your mind, partner?

[He closes the door behind them.]
