Love. Love is a many splendored thing. All you need is love! Except when it hurts because the person you adore doesn't have the same feelings towards you. Then it's a curse.

This meme is very simple, with only a few prompts on its own. But don't let that stop you from letting your imagination run wild, especially if you have a penchant for the tragic. Maybe it's not all bad, though. There could be a silver lining...


HOW TO PLAY

• Comment with your character and your preferences. Also, be sure to mention if you want you character to be the lover or the loved (or either), for lack of more refined labels.
• Tag around to others.
• Either use the RNG or come up with your own scene.

1. Unnoticed: Your beloved doesn't notice you or doesn't know your feelings.

Steve isn't quite sure when exactly his feelings towards Stark - Tony had changed, if he truly had to make a guess he would say that it had started after that first fight with Loki and their team, the Avengers. He did love Tony, but in a way he felt a little unnoticed and shoved off to the side by both the man he loved and the current society of the decade that he had awoken too.

Living in the 40's and living the current decade hasn't helped much with his views about people loving who they choose to love. It makes him feel confused and a little disconcerted that the discrimination he had seen back then, was still so very prevalent in this new world.

As much as he does love Tony and wants to tell him, he does feel like there might someone else that has the other man's attention. Even so, he feels like Tony deserves to know how he feels about him and if there is someone else, then he'll still at least feel better for knowing that he told him.

For once, he finds Tony not in his workshop and that mildly surprises him still sometimes and instead finds him with a Stark Pad tablet on a couch of the Avenger's floor. He sits down close to the other man and smiles hesitantly.

"Hey Tony. Am I interrupting you and whatever it is you are working on?"

[A girl does not appreciate death. A girl does not revel in strangled gasps, bulging eyes and the snap of spines. A girl does not obsessively recount memories of such monstrosities, yet nevertheless India finds herself doing so. She can still hear the sound of leather squeaking against skin, the frantic rustle of dirt scuffing against denim jeans and the panicked, desperate gargle of the boy as he squirmed and struggled against her hips. It leaves her electrified. As soon as she's home, she heads to the shower, purging herself of dirt and frustration, her knees slightly buckling towards the muddy water pooled in the base of the tub, her body quivering. When hunting, her father had always suggested that she keep a distance from her prey. Now she thinks she understands why. The word "bloodlust" has never been so fitting.

Freshly washed and wrapped in silk, a robe placed over her shoulders for decency, she pads down to the kitchen, lead by the smell of cooking. Her feet feel cold against the tiles as she traces her hand along the marble countertop, watching him for a second before she speaks, her tone analytic, her face stern.]

She is better suited to be the one who is loved since, even if she does also have feelings for your character, she wouldn't be the type to easily allow herself to return those feelings. However she is very 'gentlemanly' in personality and will likely feel really bad about it, unless she just doesn't take you seriously.))
