Dungeons and Dragons! A game as old as time... Dungeons and Dragons! Fueled by dice, pizza, and the limitless powers of your imagination, D&D has the ability to transform an ordinary basement into a extravagant tavern filled with orcs, elves, and warlocks. There are plenty of guides out there that teach you the right way to play, but this is just a meme, so it's fine if you feel like flubbing some of the rules. I won't tell. how to play;
Leave a top-level for your character, including info and preferences. It might help to add whether your character plans on DMing, or just playing as a character in someone else's campaign.

Tag out, have fun, kill monsters.
the players
first timer Everyone was new at one point or another. Fortunately, most people are here to help you out as you get your footing.
veteran The one who everyone turns to when they can't remember whether a rogue's dagger deals piercing damage or stabbing damage.
the DMThe one running the show. This is your game, your world, your adventure.
the playerMost people would fall into this category. Make a character and see where the road takes you!
the game
character creation Arguably the most fun part of the game. Your character is making their own character! Characterception?! It can be liberating, but it can also be complicated. What's the difference between knowledge and wisdom anyway?
setting the scene DM, do your thing!
jail What the heck did you do to wind up in jail?!
quest The most well-known aspect of D&D. Some old guy is sending your party off on an adventure!
tavern Some old-timely bar filled with fantasy species. Go rub elbows with folk to get some information about the town you're in, or kick back and get wasted. Whatever feels in-character.
battleFight things! Fight things!
roll to... It's the name of the game. If you want to get something done, your fate is in the hand of the dice. Whether you want to seduce a guard or do a cool backflip to impress your teammates, the dice are the ones who decide.
backstories It's never too early to sit around the campfire and talk about who your character really is beneath the surface.
exploration Check out the realm! This place is crazy! They have DRAGONS here?!
((Beard is here to DM. He knows how to set the scene, provide important information, and then let the players take the wheel.
I also have Ted and Jamie as slightly clueless but excited players, if that's wanted. Personally the fun of this meme comes from seeing what characters our characters would make, and how they would play them and get into character.
Also if you as a player are very clueless, if you pick a class, I'd be happy to give a short summary of some things that D&D character can do so you don't feel lost!))
[Papyrus: enthusiastic first time GM and/or player, here with drawings of maps, puzzle ideas, and a pile of books to rapidly flip through as he needs to reference things.
I'm familiar with the game as a player, and already have the rough drafts of a game Papyrus could run, or a character he could play, just in case it ever came up! Expect classic low-level cliches, references to Undertale, and so on.]
