It's all text messages and Facebook entries these days, isn't it? Maybe you're from a time or a world where letters are still being written or maybe you're just saying fuck it to your computer and your phone and to the fast paced contact methods of modern day society. Write a letter to someone you rarely see or can't for whatever reason see right now, because of distance or maybe personal issues that are more easily addressed on paper anyway. Come on, you don't need an excuse, just write that damn letter!

How to play -

1. Top-level with your character. Include prefs and the like, if you wish.
2. Others now leave a comment with a letter their character has written yours.
3. Have your character respond, then go tag around as you wish.
4. Be entertained!

Dear Sir,

My name is Robert Muldoon. I am a hunter and guide by trade, and well respected in my field. A recent client of mine insisted that I write to you. He was adamant that we would find some mutually beneficial arrangement. When I asked what type of game you were interested in, he smiled and explained that you have an interest in the strange and unusual.

Most of my work has been in Africa, but I've travelled my fair share further. This means that I see plenty of curious things, some more easily explained than others. Although you may be more interested in the stories I come across when speaking to the locals, you would be surprised how many explorers and guides have something unbelievable to share. Our mutual acquaintance assures me that you will respect if not believe them. Usually when people ask for tales like these to be recounted, it is at the cost of the one who first experienced the thing. I'd have your word that you have no intention of using private anecdotes as entertainment, with the understanding that I take promises very seriously.

Having dutifully fulfilled my own promise to write to you, I await your response. Given the nature of my work, I can be difficult to reach. I've attached the most reliable address for you to respond to.

The stars in this world are strange, Brother. Unfamiliar.

A friend once said that the stars and the sky is fake, and that's how the stars feel to me. False and chimerical, mere lights hanging in the curtain everyone calls the night sky. They no longer guide me as the North star did in our previous home, and maybe that's the reason why this journey feels aimless. Directionless, with a path being followed to nowhere that every step I take seems to bring me further and further away from you. Ironic, isn't it, for a traveler to lose her way in this world?

Do you still remember the night we chose Teyvat? We laid awake that evening, talking about our journey and the home we wish to have, and you made me choose the next star. I remember pointing to the one covered by mist, thinking "How mysterious that one is." Would things have turned out differently if you had chosen instead, I wonder?

I suppose that's a question I can ask you one day, along with the stories I've acquired throughout my travel. I have so many to tell you, enough to fill an entire library.
