YOU'VE BEEN SITTING IN SILENCE FOR SOME TIME AND NOW YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S ON YOUR COMPANION'S MIND, SO YOU FLASH YOUR RICHES AND OFFER a penny for your thoughts, GIVING THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL YOU AND HAVE A LITTLE HEART-TO-HEART.


How to play -

1. Comment with your character's name, fandom and preferences.
2. Others offer your character a penny for their thoughts to start the conversation off.
3. Your character tells them what they're thinking of, note that lying's allowed. You take it from there.
4. Be serious, be light-hearted, be cracky. Just have fun!

[ ooc: Oh hey, this time I don't have to throw someone who's time traveling at you! This guy is very easily shoved into historical settings! ]

[ Music is one of the few things that still comes naturally to him. Even now, when so much of what he had been capable of has been torn away, he can still pick up a fiddle and coax out a tune. It's been his solace during his time in this place, the one thing that keeps him moving when little else does.

It's also what has been letting him avoid swindling people when he's looking for a place to stay for the evening. He plays during the day and takes his earnings back to whatever open door might let him rest within it for the evening. Luckily for him, he's a good enough player and has run into a fair few people who can offer him a coin or two for his show.

It's been a good enough day that, if he were a different person, he'd be able to put down for a hearty meal alongside a bed for the night. Looking at him, all pale skin and thin enough to be troubling, you'd think it would be the first thing he'd go after, but he isn't the type to go for things like solid food these days.

A drink though, that's entirely different.

Barnaby had taken up a spot not far from a pub, close enough that he could catch people coming and going, occasionally even benefiting from drunken generosity. He's on the tail end of his day, collecting his earnings and taking care to put away his instrument as well. Shoving the bits of coin he'd let sit in his case, he tosses one in the air, an uncharacteristic smile on his lips. He's still buzzing a little, from the music or the day, who can say, and doesn't even fumble or falter when he misses the chance to catch it. Instead, he laughs a little, looking toward the man who the coin had come closest to. ]

Sorry there! [ He waves at the young man but doesn't make a move to get the coin back. ] Call it a gift for your thoughts.
